Let's say I have two identical blogs where I post 100 high quality articles in the span of one year.


I actively find guest posts for one blog only, and I let the other blog be online without any actively added guest posts link or back link.


Do backlinks really work at increasing the authority of a blog and wouldn't backlink come naturally once the blog has enough high quality articles?

is guest posting actually worthful or a waste of time?

Links provide several key pieces of information to google. Links provide credibility and authority, anchor texts give context to why other sites find your site authoritative, etc.

Although in time you may obtain organic links, there's no guarantee it happens, the rate it happens, what kind of link profile you will create, and how effectively those organic links will push your site into a profitable position in SERP.

Also, keep in mind that ranking is a competitive game. You might have a great site with organic links and legitimately the best, most helpful content. Your site competes against other good (and bad) sites. Those sites may have more/better organic links, a larger/better site, or inorganic links. They may beat you because they have a good site with more authority. You compete against all of those sites. If ranking to get traffic is your goal, then you have to win the competition.
 
Backlinks are the important ranking signal for Google, it helps to boost your ranking.

Yes, still guest posting worthful for SEO. Before outreaching for a guest post, you need to check the domain authority, traffic and site are relevant to your niche.
 
Backlinks work especially if you have a diverse link profile and natural backlinks.

But pages with no backlinks can also rank. It depends on the competition, content quality, and on-page seo.

Guest posting is one of the best ways to build backlinks for your website. High quality content is important, but backlinks are necessary for SEO.
 
Yes, backlinks are the default method for the ranking factor, you must consider them and work on them to improve your site performance

And guest posts are the prior backlink now you get guest posts links and niche edits links these are more effective, it increase your authority , metrics and organic searches
 
Quality links are important but SEO takes time. It's not as simple as buy 1 link at 9 am Monday and by 5pm Friday it is indexed and your site has gone from page 8 to page 1.
 
They both work good , but backlinks work well good , many people just ignore backlinks , but at some time you need backlinks to get good rankings !
 
Backlinks are significant for SERP rankings. Guest posts can increase the authority and can bring some potential traffic as well.

It’s like the chicken and egg paradox. Back links can’t come naturally if your site isn’t known but you need back links to bring in traffic.
 
Guest post really helpful to boost your ranking, when those sites are relevant niche with good traffic.
Even high quality content ranks but take time. It depends on competition and your niche. If you want to boost and enhance your site, try to build diverse links as guest post, niche edits, Real traffic sites.
 
yes, guest posting actually worth. Anyone wont link your site if your site is not an authority one.
