I’ve noticed that Google’s crawling behavior and link recognition have changed a lot lately. I’m curious — are backlink indexing services still effective in 2025, or are we just wasting resources?

I’ve tried a few tools recently, and the results seem slower compared to last year. Some links never got indexed, even after using premium indexing APIs.

What’s your experience these days? Are you relying on natural indexing through traffic and content, or do you still use tools to speed up the process?

Indexing tools aren’t as powerful now-Google prefers natural discovery. I rely on internal linking, fresh content, and traffic signals for faster indexing.

The same pattern has caught my attention: Google is getting pickier about what it indexes, particularly when it comes to AI-generated or low-traffic pages. Even the paid backlink indexing tools appear to be less effective these days. These days, I put more of an emphasis on natural indexing through regular traffic, robust internal linking, and updated content. Although quality signals and relevance appear to be more important than forced indexing, tools can still be somewhat helpful.
 
Some of my links still don’t index, but when I drive a little referral traffic, Google finds them almost immediately.
 
Indexing services can still help, but natural indexing through strong content, internal links and real traffic tends to perform better for long trem stability.

These days, I focus more on natural indexing by sending real traffic, embedding links in active content, and using tiered contextual links. Tools can still help a bit, but consistent quality signals and organic engagement usually work better for long-term indexing.​
