If I had to guess I'd say that having a real blog post author name rather than no author or something generic like 'staff' is preferred right? I'd bet Google gives preference to blog posts/articles that have a a real author instead of something else.
Curious what others think or if there is any evidence for Google preferring author names.
(This is my hunch based on Google News requiring at least 3 author names each with contact email + back in the day Google putting stars in SERPS for author names for articles)
