do americans really care about world cup?

Its not just the america, there are some peoples in every country who loves FIFA and others don't.

f%ck no .... the only problem with soccer is they don't score enough and there are dumb ass draws ... there are no draws or ties in sports (except for hockey) ...
lameass French pussies - even the French don't like the French

What to say about people and their sport views when they call a sport football and 90% of match the ball is in players' hands... I can't take them serious at all :)

Yea we care a lot about the World Cup. Until real football season comes back on

We like football and baseball....

Kicking a ball around is boring

We are a sports loving country, only problem is this, soccer is for wimps!

No offence dude, but "american football ()" is for sisis! try rugby, now that's not for wimps! no sisi protection and forward throwing :p

What I think would be really funny is if the U.S went on to win the world cup and then

returned back home with the cup and nobody gave a shit!!:D

At least in real football, the score isn't always 2-1 and people aren't happy to get a tie. Oh, and did I mention the athletes falling all the time. Some of those soccer players just fall over a blade of grass for no reason.

But truth be known, there simply is no sport in the world like hockey. The players need to be 10x more skilled than soccer players and be able to take a hit like real footballers do. Its perfection.

Yeah, I would like to care about the World Cup. I got pretty pissed when the Mali judge screwed us. I got to thinking its only a matter of time until the Mali Government needs a solid. My bigger problem is that the Chicago Bears have started OTAs. The Chicago Blackhawks have won the Stanley Cup. The Chicago White Sox have won seven straight. The Bull have just hired Tom Thibodeau. and yes the Lebron James clock has been unveiled in Grant Park.

I'm sure that World Cup thing is important, but hey wait, I think the Cubs are on....

Apparently we do because every damn bar is crammed with people watching it and its all I hear about all day long.

I find it incredibly boring. It's on the same level as watching baseball and watching paint dry for me.

Its only a growing sport for 2 reasons, first its dirt cheap to play, no equipment, no training, no special field, etc and 2nd, because they have dosed it with politics, controversy and national pride so its become more cult than anything.

Half the soccer playing nations are corrupt 3rd world counties so they have little to be proud of.
