Do AI-written articles still rank?

Short answer: Yes — AI-written articles can still rank on Google, but only if you do it right. If you try to cheat the system, publish generic crap, or use AI as a shortcut without human polish, you're going to lose.

i have found a mix works best use ai to draft or structure content, then polish it by hand to add real insight and personality. google’s fine with ai as long as it’s helpful and feels genuinely written for people.

ai can build structure, but raw output too clean, too linear. mix it: write hooks manual, let ai fill mids, then rewrite endings yourself. hit emotion, break grammar, use slang or stories. search wants signals of human unpredictability, not perfection.

I’ve been experimenting with AI content mixed with human editing. Some posts rank, others disappear. How’s everyone balancing AI vs manual writing now?
AI articles can still rank if they’re edited well and offer real value. Pure AI spam gets buried, but human optimized AI content still works fine, Imo

Depending on how it's utilised, those still can rank, yeah. Google doesn't directly penalise AI-written content but what it does filter out low quality and unoriginal content (and AI-written content just generally fall under this, it's correlation). If you're editing, adding insight, or other personal additions that are your own, then that'll give it better chances to survive. Posts that get gutted are also usually thin or too similar to what's already indexed so there's that. AI only sites are get hit hard and fast.

Use Good internal linking with it. You have to optimize your articles.

It can do pretty well in more niche languages. Maybe it's the competition being lower or maybe Google is not as good at detecting it, but I do see it in the search results.

AI is great for research, but human editing adds depth and authenticity. A mix of both ensures quality content that performs well in SEO.
