do really1st comment on youtube video matters? though its oldest in all comment and most read but may not be most liked
somebody posted in freelancer section he want 1st to comment on latest uploaded video so askiing doubt

No, default sort is top that what matters. Few clicks on latest too.

This is dynamic. Top comments is what matter, so being in first few will do.

What you need to know? Latest comment can be ranked 1st if comment receive enough likes and/or replies.

Most of the time, only 7-8 likes is enough to rank it. Depends of video audience in comments + time/competition/deletion.

You just need to test a little and see from another location VPS/VPN if your comment is ranked when you check video naturally.

Yeah, it's sometimes used as a form of advertising. People even pay YouTubers to pin their comments for visibility.

That could be one reason it's so important.

no, usually the comment that matters is the one with more likes or responses that keep people engaged, basically the most important ones but no realy understand why the first should matter.

For viewers, the first comment that appears is the most important, not necessarily the oldest or most recent. You can set it up so that your favorite comment appears first.
