DMOZ Validation Time

Hello Backs !

I've some difficulty to be accepted on DMOZ.
I'm waiting since 2 months for my money site. But i have some difficulty with anothers websites.

Do you have some solutions ;)
Let me know !

Its not relevant. DMOZ almost never adds new sites anymore.
 
in my case it took around 6 month, that too in wrong category, and it returs nothing, except domain value hike in online website worth site.
 
I almost forgot that I submitted 3 different business sites a year ago (I think?). So far, none of them have been added.
 
The concept of seo is unpleasant
The best way forward is socail media
While trying seo....

Earning money away from google
Will increase knowledge and confidence
That your able to earn a crust away from the big g and seo concepts , that drive everybody blody mad.....

Dmoz is overrated and also drives seo exsperts mad.

The only time i use dmoz when buying a old domain needs re registering but most exspire domain providers got dmoz info shown...

When you add dmoz to there database can take a very long time , but you only register if wanting to sell a domain, with website, like on flippa , in genrual dmoz is overrated......

But a fresh competitor on my niche come to be validated on DMOZ.
His website is very young.. Only 2 months...

It might've been what ThopHayt said: either they were a mod or they knew someone who was a mod (or they got lucky). They've even said it on their own website that response times can vary greatly.
An editor will review your suggestion to determine whether to include it in the Directory. Depending on factors such as the volume of suggestions to the particular category, response time can vary dramatically. Please only suggest a site to the Directory once. Multiple suggestions of the same or related sites may result in the exclusion and/or deletion of those and all affiliated sites.

Dmoz links are pretty worthless SEO wise, you won't be getting any grand ranking boosts by having a link from there. Maybe in the past it was worthwhile trying to obtain one but its a crapshoot now. The directory blows ass, I don't know why they haven't shut it down already.
 
Agreed, DMOZ is far from dead. Its just hard to get links on anymore, so many in IM have simply given up trying to game them. But they still carry a ton of use IF you can get on. I put all my domains on DMOZ, and and my tier one PBNs I list on DMOZ as well.

People also confuse being DMOZ listed domains with DMOZ listed sites. Having a PBN that is on a domain that got DMOZ listed 2 years ago is one thing... but having a PBN and getting it DMOZ listed while its your PBN seems a lot more helpful. Google seems to notice that. Not a lot of people can swing that, but its something I like to do.
