for my first website, i have used divi on wordpress to build it and i wanted to see if this would have a negative impact on the SEO? as it is quite restrictive with some features and might not be the best for accessibility

I don't see any negative effect on SEO, its the best theme for wordpress.
I use it too and don't observe any problems. It is highly popular Wordpress editor and if it would be bad for SEO nobody would use it.

Personally I switched from Genesis to Divi a few years ago & picked Divi over Elementor as my platform of choice.

The Divi framework is quite bloated and outdated in terms of coding quality.
I would recommend to switch to a full site editor Gutenberg theme like Spectra One (is free to download) and is much better coded.

Divi is just a theme bro,SEO depends on your content and pluggin score

Divi's impact on SEO is mixed. It's user-friendly but can be heavy on code, which might slow down your site. To mitigate this, focus on optimizing images, leveraging caching, and using a content delivery network.

Well, when using Divi forget about shared hosting. VPS is must. I had few sites with Divi and they were incredible slow on shared machines. Elementor was much faster, but still consuming a lot of hosting/server RAM.
For blog I would use static sites like made with GatsbyJS

Speed have impact for SEO

divi slows down the website and page speed is important when it comes to user experience

Yes ,It can be Heavy on code . This can make it harder for search engines to crawl and index the content efficiently.

DIVI is powerful and has no effects on SEO. I have done over 100 great sites with DIVI.

I am also sure that DIVI 5 will be greater.

No fear here!

I agree. if accessibility is a big concern for you, you can always add accessibe.com or userway.org. But with SEO, it has performed very well with Rankmath, AIO, and Yoast, but of course you can do that manually too.

Divi on WordPress can be good for SEO if you optimize it properly.
Focus on improving page speed, making the site mobile-friendly and keeping the code clean.
Use clear headings, add alt text to images and install SEO plugins like Yoast to improve rankings and overall site performance.

Divi’s flexibility can come at the cost of slower load times and limited built-in accessibility features, which might impact SEO. To counteract this, focus on performance optimization, mobile responsiveness, and using an SEO plugin. Accessibility can be improved by manually adding semantic HTML and alt text. Regular testing ensures your site remains SEO-friendly.
