Disk read error occurred

Hi folks!
Hope everyone s doing good!
I recently tried to clean up my laptop ACER aspire, but when I tried to turn it on this message comes everytime I tried to !" Disk read error occured press ctrl+alt+dlt to restart" ,I do it and it takes me to same loop again and again ! I have a ton of folders which I dont want to lose !
Any advices please ? ,thank you so much!

This most probably means a dying or dead hard drive. Windows ? Google to see how to attempt to boot it to safe mode, if possible.

I have been trying tons of commands from microsoft forums but nothing works !
 
Do you have the original installation disks or a bootable disk? If you do, then you can try booting from the CD/DVD rom. Once you're able to access your system, see if you can get to the files on your hard drive.
 
Time to take it to a computer store to see if they can recover your files,
 
They will be able to open it up at the store, and connect the hard drive to their computer, and see if they can recover anything.
 
DO NOT initially take your computer to any repair store, as they always charge a fortune for a what they call "data recovery". Carefully remove the hard drive (see a YouTube video on how to do that for your computer model), then connect it to another computer and see if it boots up. If it still does not boot up, then the hard drive has problem(s) and then you may consider taking it to a computer store after researching with your local people there as to which computer store is least likely to scam you, because most computer repair stores do scam people.
 
I would replace the hard drive with another (spare) one... Or just use a working existing computer...
After installation add the HD as extra disk to the computer...
Or use a docking station to connect it with USB...
From there try to find out if you can access your HD and see your files...
If not you might need to install a HD recovery tool... Unfortunately I can't recommend a good HD recovery tool...
Just make sure not to do any write operations to your disk like format or reinstalling until you have saved your data!
 
Listen closely to the hard drive while it boots. Does it click? If it does, then you most likely lost all your files.
