I visit BHW almost everyday. I see the homepage most often and seldom the making money section.

However, I feel I miss out on many good fresh threads sometimes since marketplace threads seem to pop up on the homepage a lot besides noob questions and older popular threads.

Is there a way to find the most popular threads on BHW for the day / week / month? Any search operator I could use?
Which sections do you access the most?

is there anyway so we can find most "thank you" posts?
because important posts always receive a lot of thank yous

I think the only solution is to create a curated and regularly updated post with the best methods. Maybe grouped by type, like: dropshipping, amazon affiliate, instagram, twitter, arbitrage, etc, etc, etc

Did he die?

That was bz's brother http://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/rip-pofecker.545311/ you are probably thinking of. The only thing of HaRRo's that died on here was his penchant for buttfuckery.

I recall when I joined BHW that Pofecker's passing was recent and a lot of folks commented about it. In 2013 I went back, read his posts, and got really sad cuz he seemed like such a nice person and straight talker, giving real advice. No I didn't confuse this guy with him, question really was about this guy. For some reason I saw the verb tense and thought he had passed.

But this chat made me go back and read Pofecker's last thread...feel kinda sad now about one of his posts, where he said that he spent too much time online. This hit me kinda hard. I've been getting the same kinds of comments he mentioned there from my own family. For some reason you posted this link and I ended up there and things don't happen in vain. Thanks for the chat.

It took my Mom dying a few weeks back for me to step back and really take a look at the world outside of my computer screen. I had said I was going to do that over and over again, and I may have been gung ho about it for a day or two, but I always gravitated back towards the easy money and satisfaction that the screen offered.

Not anymore. The past few weeks I've really tried hard to surround myself with face to face conversation, outdoor adventures, photography, exercise, and things that keep me away from my laptop. It's made a big change, and has definitely helped me appreciate the world around me a little bit more.

Yeah, time to make a change for me. I'll reduce my time on the PC considerably. And hopefully the income won't drop as much. I waste a lot of time online, which could be put to much better use.

PS. I apologize to OP for hijacking this thread.

er... to get the thread back on subject....

try this google search
Code:
site:blackhatworld.com "thanks x 100..5000" -inurl:"/forums/" pbn

so thats searching only the site blackhatworld.com
results that include "thanks x {number between 100 & 5000}"
excluding results with "/forum/" in the url
pbn is replaced with your keyword if you want to narrow it down further.
You can use the advanced options on google if you want to narrow by date as well.

Trouble is most thanked posts != best threads.

....Ideally a "sort by thank yous" would probably give you what you want, as the most valuable shares and methods get 10's of thank yous. But that option is not there [yet].

i used to do a variation of this on the old BHW forum. when i found a member who was really laying down the knowledge or that was mentioned having made that awesome guide once upon a time, i would go to his profile and click the "most thanked posts" and it would pull them up. those posts were usually the first post of a guide, method, journey, how to or something unless he is/was a lounge shit disturber. i came across so much buried treasure that way because a lot of members who made a great guide about a topic, made several more or branched out into other types of IM. some members had fantastic guides that they wrote scattered over several years that i would have never seen if i could not have easily done that.

bring back the "most thanked posts" sort function in the member profile posts page again!
pleeeeeease!!!

Thanks for this. Also grateful to bartosimpsonio for the sort by most replies. I appreciate the off topic stuff too. While taking in all those good threads I'll keep the imp. of striking a balance in mind.
