Hey BHW.

I haven't been here long but I've seen what a great community this is. As previously written about, in September of 2018, I wanted to re-suggest the creation of a Discord server. Discord is a community-based application that is free. It focuses mainly on channels that all users can chat in, and voice channels that you can join to voice chat. It has all the basic features of skype, voice calling, private direct messaging, group chats + videocalls, and more.

I'm often asked to chat on skype by users who want to discuss business, or just talk about their instagram impressions with me. I have uninstalled skype and moved onto discord. I've had people download discord for the first time and use it to talk to me.

I'd love to see BHW create a Discord server for this forum. I feel as if it'd bring this community even more together, and possibly even bring in more members. I am extremely active on discord and love the application myself. If it is still a no from the admins, as it was in September 2018 very-well, but It'd be a very nice addition to this forum.

I don't think discord is the best choice for something like this. You already have a forum why add a discord to it? You just end up with a disconnect if people have to post twice on both. This place was designed with a forum mindset. I have hard time imagining this place as a discord especially regarding paid content, security, and what not.

I have a marketing discord mainly focused about CPA, Ecommerce etc.. With over 200 members. Discord is amazing for that. I've had it for 2 years and before it was a skype group but skype aint as efficient to control for big groups. So i support this suggestion would be awesome with a BHW Discord.

I don't think we're on the same page here. A Discord server would be like a live chatroom of Lounge, but can also be used to discuss business, or any BHW forum topic. Of course you won't be forced to post on both, forums aren't a chatroom. You don't have to make a forum post on a discord channel saying you're selling proxies, but rather just say "hi hows it going?" It'd be mainly used as a discussion chatroom for basic conversation. Get to know the members a bit better.

I have both skype and discord. I would welcome chats from either.

You are right. We weren't on the same page. Moving lounge talk to Discord sounds fine. I think the disconnect between the two will still be a problem. You can have rules and stuff, but people might try to handle business on discord if they can get away with it. I can understand why they prefer not to make a discord, but I can see the possible benefit of real time lounge talking.

Why do we need another platform? BHW have everything. I'd personally never create a discord for BHW because discord is product of some another peoples and they can put restrictions anytime.

Anyways if something like this is happening, my vote of confidence goes for Slack. I think, it's way better than skype/discord for business people/talk.

Chaotic Skype and Discord chats often don't work out in such a broad forum

This has been floated a dozen times... not going to happen.

BHW is an interactive communication platform for the free exchange of ideas that fit inside the ToS and creating another platform will dilute the value of the forum as well as give an opportunity for people to skirt the rules.

If you want to chat with others in a group setting when the initial contact began on BHW, this is the platform for that.
