I've started to hear about group chats using Telegram to coordinate ICO purchases to drive up the price.

Does anyone know more about these? And how to get access to one?

Are you sure you are talking about ICO's ?
During ICO phase there is no price change just the dev team collecting funds

Sorry, I meant post ICO when people are trading the coins/tokens themselves.

You mean pump/dump groups? I would like to know that too - legit groups though, not the ones screwing you over and making you dump when the coin crashes.

Says who/where?
Several months back, @BassTrackerBoats and I were informed by an in-house moderator to close down these off-forum group threads as members were joining them, getting ripped off, and then whinging here about it in the Shit List subforum.

I contacted an administrator about this recently and was told that these groups fall under rule 3.3.

On a side note, I've joined some of these off-forum groups in the past with decoy accounts just to see what was going on in them (mostly Skype groups). One was basically a ghetto marketplace filled with people I've banned from here for scamming and another one was a bunch of 3rd world people playing BHW mod in their free time. They even had their own little corrupt TOS, it was hilarious.
3.3 Activity that involves Currency Trades or Exchanges (Example: Exchanging PayPal for eGold money), Buying/Selling CPA accounts, Buying/Selling Social Security Numbers or Identities, CPA offer filling circles, Paying to have CPA offers filled, Requesting fake review comments for other forums' BST sections, Digg / Stumble (or similar) requests and trades, Asking how to make $xxx/day, Any "fake" account for the purposes of defrauding a network or individual, Promoting other forums by any means including in your signature, Creating more than one account on BHW.

Just dont make the coordination go against you. its game theory heavy :)
