Digg appears to be banned from SERPs and slapped by Google Panda. Could this have anything to do with Digg releasing last week that it?s going to start up a Google Reader type service?

Its a cycle isn't it - no matter how big you are when you rely on someone like Google

its their rules ... guess it goes to show don't put all your money into one site.

Wow, looking forward to see if this penalty will stick to such a big website like digg. If this penalty was a result of a manual action, then Google just is telling the Webmasters to go FUCK them selves.

"Mess with the best Die like the Rest" from what series or movie was this again... hmm

OMG.. i am trying to believe my eyes here... is that really Digg !!!

I was doing bookmarking for my new sites and was trying to register using gmail on digg but digg didn't show any option for registration using gmail email!

and now this seems really big thing.. atleast for all of those who rely on google for their traffic and business.

One of my site which got hit by google's updates is getting nice traffic from yahoo and bing.. and its also increasing daily.. so, i am just hoping to get some traffic from other SEs and from social media.

I don't think that Digg is relying on google for their traffic now as they are The brand and people goes to digg by typing Digg.com on address bar (most of the people) so i doubt whether they feel bad about this or not!

This website says there was a problem with Digg's robot.txt - http://martinmacdonald.net/digg-banned-from-google/

UPDATE: Its looking like Digg may have suffered a technical SEO issue with their robots.txt file being unavailable to google's crawlers. In a nutshell what this means is that google could not see a vital part of their site, which controls access to the spiders. In these circumstances Google may remove the site - however this would probably be the biggest example seen of such a problem.

If you can't buy them.... KILL THEM

Now they are gone again.
I just love Google, 1 second you have over 1 million indexed pages, the other second you have none.

Keep up the "GREAT" work Google and keep slapping them all.............

Just Mats childish pathetic way of trying to act like god. I pity the poor little man.
