difference between organic and paid traffic

Organic traffic comes when people find your site naturally through search engines like Google Search, usually because your content ranks well—no direct cost per click, but it takes time and SEO effort. In the long run, organic traffic is usually more reliable because once you rank well on platforms like Google Search, it can keep bringing steady visitors without paying each time.

Paid traffic is when you bring visitors through ads using platforms like Google Ads or social media ads—you pay for each click, but results are faster and more controllable. It is reliable short-term, but the moment you stop spending, the traffic stops too.

Organic traffic is the visitors you get naturally without paying for ads, like people coming from Google search results, social media shares, Reddit posts, or referrals from other websites. It usually takes time to build, but it’s more long-term and can keep bringing traffic even months later.

Paid traffic is when you pay money to bring visitors to your website through ads like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Instagram promotions, or sponsored posts. It gives fast results, but the moment you stop paying, the traffic usually stops too.

Organic traffic is the visitors you get for free from search engines, social posts, etc. It usually takes time to build but is more stable long-term.Paid traffic is when you run ads (Google, Facebook, etc.) and pay for each click or impression. It’s faster but stops as soon as you stop spending. Both work, but organic is better for long-term growth, while paid is useful for quick results.

I think, organic traffic comes naturally from search results without paying. Paid traffic is when you run ads and pay to get visitors.

Organic traffic is free visitors from search, while paid traffic comes from ads you pay for.

Organic traffic - search engines, going viral on social media, word of mouth and so on.
Paid traffic - you pay to get traffic, online or offline.

Organic traffic is free traffic that comes from search engines when your site ranks naturally.

Paid traffic is when you pay for ads to bring visitors to your site.

Simple difference: organic takes time but is long-term, paid is instant but stops when you stop spending.

Organic traffic is free comes from search engines over time.
paid traffic comes from ads, you pay for each click but get instant visitors.

Organic traffic comes from search engines when people find your website naturally through SEO. It’s free but takes time. Paid traffic comes from ads where you pay for visitors, and it gives faster results.

Organic traffic is basically the free stuff you get when your content naturally ranks well, while paid traffic is literally you just throwing money at ads to get eyes on your page. Think of it like growing a glowy skin barrier versus just buying a high-end highlighter for an instant pop

Organic traffic comes from unpaid sources like search engines (SEO) where users find your site naturally through rankings Paid traffic on the other hand comes from ads like Google Ads or social media campaigns where you pay for clicks or impressions
Organic traffic is more sustainable long-term while paid traffic delivers faster results but stops once you stop spending

How’s this even a question, organic traffic is traffic that ended up on your platform by actively searching for it, paid is the opposite.

What is the difference between organic and paid traffic?
Organic traffic is traffic that comes to you naturally through search engines and/or social media. Paid traffic is when you pay for people to view your website/blogs or offers.

Organic is usually better for long-term growth and harder to scale (depends on the niche). Paid is instant traffic from ads, but it typically stops once you stop spending.

Organic traffic comes from search engine rankings and content value without any direct cost and paid traffic is came from fee based advertising placement like PPC or social media ads.

Almost every member has explained OP's question quite clearly and elaborately. I will add another point. Nowadays, the way Google algorithms are moving, the costs for ranking organically seems to be on the way towards overtaking the costs for ranking via paid ads. Obviously, as a company, Google desires more revenues, so Google will keep on evolving it's strategies in a likewise manner.
The relative value of organic search is decreasing while the effort required is increasing dramatically.

Organic traffic refers to visitors who find your website naturally through search engines, social media, or content without paid promotion. Paid traffic, on the other hand, comes from advertisements such as PPC campaigns or sponsored posts. Both have value—organic builds long-term trust and sustainability, while paid traffic can deliver faster results and targeted visibility.
