Dietary changes that can help reduce weight

If you try this diet, you have to be cautious about excessive fat you will consume.

This is hard for that reason. You will be tempted to eat a lot of red and processed meat.

Also little research exists to backup this diet.

From anecdotal responses, we know one thing for sure - only obsessed people will be able to keep up with it for more than 3 months.

Or some people who are allergic to carbs. Can be carb phobia as well.
I am vegetarian.

I am vegetarian.
So I already listed couple vegetarian things I personally like.

Cut down your food budget. Maybe by half. You will see you can't order food everyday that way.

Realize that's all consumption and you will be better if you reinvest your money.

Here is how i did it

No white bread, only black
No sugars, this is the most important, if you cut sugars and sweets you will lose weight
A lot of water, for this i made my Alarm on my phone, every half an hour i drank a glass of water.
No junk food, i was so addicted on junk foods, but i stayed strong for 1 month and didnt buy junk food even once.
Fasting, i am muslim and we have Ramadan(the month of fasting), i followed these steps together with the fasting for 1 month.
Planks, you should do planks for at least 30 minutes every day, i cant lie, me myself didnt do them very often but if you can do planks every day for 30 minutes it would make you lose more belly fat

For 30 days i lost a lot of weight, i didnt measure my weight but everyone who i met said to me that i changed a lot. I lost my big belly fat and my clothes felt like too big.

Now i am back to how i was before because i started again with junk food and sugars

Try doing cycling, there are additional benefits such as getting fresh air, waking up early etc..and more than that it isn't boring like regular workouts.

So what is the permanent solution? Is getting into some work where one has to maintain physical fitness something that will motivate to remain fit forever?

The permanent solution is you having the budget to always eat healthy and never try junk foods or sugars.

The other is doing exercises which it seems you dont like to do.

You either exercise or you eat healthy. There is no other way to lose weight

You can try intermittent fasting and lose weight without much exercise.

keto isn't just about cutting carbs, you should watch out for the Fat and calories you consume as well, i take also vitamines supplements to compensate for the fruits i cut because of sugar.
I'm on my 3rd year on this, i'm much much better than before, there is no such thing as a diet without a change in behaviors and eating habits, after a while this would become your everyday meal plan, you don't call it a diet anymore.

Bad advise. You have to focus on both work and your health. Else you’ll be spending all the money you’re making on medical bills.
Let me clarify. You wake up. You work. You eat midday. Then work again. This way you nail this intermittent fasting thing.

I think it's one of the dangers of such a restriction. People start to believe that's not a diet, but an ultimate lifestyle. You have lifelong restrictions now. I can imagine how cutting off caffeine, alcohol can help you, but if you are healthy, there's no reason to cut out carbs and fiber. Acetone...

So you diet and stop calling it a diet !
