Did you ever user WayBack Machine?

Of course yes.

Wayback Machine is used to trace the history of a website over the past many years and if possible then we can retrieve the content lost when a website expires or goes down.

Professionals who deal with expired domains find Way Back machine very useful because they can restore the site they want to with its help.
It's a good tool to use and I donate every year to help the running costs.
Wow ... good to know that. You are awesome man!

Nice of you to say so fella. If everyone who used it donated even $10 a year that would go a long way.

Sadly mankind seems to have become more greedy and selfish as time moves on and it's more about what can I get for free and not think about the long term outcome. No doubt if they ever closed this down, people would be up in arms, despite never sending a single $.

I've never donated and I use it often.

Reprimand accepted and I'm changing my ways there.

Good shout.

Checking the history of a site, checking the structure, changes made etc.

I haven't thought that this site was much useful.

Using it when checking expired domains, helps to see if the website was spammed/redirected before and gives you a better idea of what the site was about.
It's a very good tool.

yes used to browse some websites that no longer exist

To check domain's history to view the types of websites that have been built on it before it expires.

You are right mate. I never donated to Way Back Machine or Wikipedia, I am the one who closes the popup window and use their site. But seriously I know if I could contribute at least something then it will be really good.

I also believe in giving back to the community and that's why I try my best to do that in BHW by offering freebies that I can do in my limited capacity. I have been a supporter and donor of NGO Greenpeace for long. However I will certainly donate to such organizations like Wikipedia and Way Back Machine in near future.

Thanks for bringing this point here today, it will really help spread awareness. :)

It's a great tool also to check those "guest posts" to see how they have been transformed througohut the years too.
Sometimes they not as "guest post" as you would think they are ;)

Yes i used it to see my old website stats, it was very nice, i would recommend.

I use all the time, when buying expired domains, to recover some of the pages and check that the site was not used for pbn

You should search archive.org on there, it will effing blow your mind, man.

Great tool, used it many times, sometimes even to bring back some good memories of how my favorite websites used to look a decade ago.
