I mean, I was searching my clever domain name yesterday on namecheap
it listed for 20$ which is fair enough

and then boom, today the domain is now taken lol
and guess who hosted it ?
namecheap-nginx

is this their common practice ? As you can see I'm a newbie in this field
any idea where to check site availability since who.is don't include price

no I'll not share the domain name
because you smartass might do the same thing lol

If someone else has already purchased the domain name, sharing it won't cause any problems for you. Can you please share the domain name so that I can look up more information about it?
 
You need to do a Whois and see who the owner of the domain is (if it isn't behind proxy).
Namecheap-nginx sounds like the web server that the site is running and it could just be that their using Namecheap's shared hosting.
 
so, namecheap is going down the godaddy route, huh! So glad I moved away from them few months ago....

I've caught Godaddy doing this shady stuff multiple times.

It's come to the point to where when I do keyword research, I'm ready to buy on the spot.

Just in case I find a gem that they haven't stolen like some greedy piglets. :)

Surely you can show that without "doxxing" yourself.

icann and who.is don't show anything maybe because it's a country top level domain ?
