Newly created accounts are quite weak and cannot run ads. You also shouldn't use two accounts with the same name on the same device. If you want to run small-scale ads, buy an account that has been created for a longer time.
 
Using multiple personal profiles, even with the same name, goes against Facebook’s rules and often leads to restrictions once detected. ID verification usually links accounts, so it can become an issue later even if the name itself is common.
 
It's okay, there are plenty of people with the same name.

You’re right—using the same name for accounts isn’t an issue by itself. However, it does carry higher risk later if Meta asks you to verify your identity, because Meta doesn’t allow two accounts to share the same identity. So if you plan to use this account for long-term advertising, you shouldn’t use exactly the same name as the account that has already been verified with an ID.
 
The bigger issue isn’t the name, it’s having multiple personal profiles, which Facebook doesn’t allow and often links through ID checks later. Using the same name can increase the chance of detection once verification is triggered.
 
It won't have any immediate impact, but if your account gets banned later, appealing to get it back online will be very difficult.

yes, it does matter — and the risk is higher than most people realize, especially if your goal is to run ads.
 
Facebook usually expects one personal profile per real person, and duplicate profiles with the same name increase the chance of review or shutdown later. are you planning on running ads?
 
Precisely, using multiple personal profiles with the same name to run ads is extremely risky because Meta's AI scanning system in 2026 will flag it as "circumventing systems" behavior.

Short answer is it could be a problem, yeah. That said, it could be a substantial issue tbh.
Same name is fine though, for most parts. It's the details around ht eaccounts that's mostly what gets looked at. Bigger issue's the ID ver though, if your main is already tied to your real ID then the second one's likely to get flagged when it hits any review. There may be some workarounds to that but that's the extent of what I know about that specific (sort of) issue.
 
You can create profiles with identical data, but the question is how warm they are and how prepared they are for advertising. It will be much easier if you simply buy ready-made, warm accounts.

This is not really dangerous because many people have the same name. But the problem here is the IP address of the device has been saved. In case 1 of the 2 accounts commits a violation, the Facebook scanning system will detect it and lock both. Safest is to just use BM to run ads.

I don’t think there’s any issue. Many people use two accounts with the same name, and everything works fine without any problems.
