I seek advice. What is the best action I can take right now? Should I stop with the cats and revert back to Geometry Dash shorts? If I do, will I get good views again right away or did the cat shorts mess it up? Or, should I keep uploading cat shorts and they should eventually gain good views?

That's awesome! People usually subscribe and watch a channel for a specific "niche", you have to decide whether your channel will be dedicated for Geometry Dash or Cats. If you're interested in both, you should make two separate channels in my opinion but I wouldn't mix the content for these two different niches onto one channel. Hopefully this helps!
