Any of you have tried em? I want to read some personal experiences

The best medicine when you're feeling down is hitting a heavy leg day
that's good advice for normal people who are just down or had a bad day.

But to some people who have a chemical imbalance in their bran they need medication, please properly diagnose yourself. I have heard lots of successful story where people cure their depression through exercise and meditation but also lots of stories end up in misery.

Hmm I am not very familiar with depressions so I did not know this. For a good friend of mine, working on his health a body helped him a lot though :)

good for him.

I am not saying its either-or but they can do both :) if the medication was prescribed properly.

Might want to check your diet and sleep. Personally, Zinc + Vitamin D + Ashwagandha helps a ton for me.

dont use medicines, learn meditation and breath techniques and do it. medicines are not the solution for depression it's just a temporary relief.

If you take antidepressants, don't mix them with alcohol. Best case scenario, you'll just reduce effectiveness of your meds. Worst case, you will get the worst hangover of your life or you may even have much more serious side effects from antidepressants and alcohol interaction, so don't do it.

Try natural supplements like st John's wort, valerian root, passionflower

Take multivitamin, fish oil. Magnesium also helps to sleep at night or melatonin

Cut out sugar and unhealthy food

I’m not saying medicine is bad but mostly it looks like this :

With drugs, you try to buy what you want somewhere in your head.
Just because you want it means you can do it without medication!

I know, it's easier to write than to do, but...

Medicine will just delay your problems, you feel better, but as soon as you stop using them, everything usually comes back the way it was.

My advice to you is to turn off your computer, phone and go for a walk, a little further walk.
Whatever problem you have, try to solve it without drugs!

Until you do not solve your own problem, the problem will never be solved!
There is no medication that will solve it for you!

Remember, more we leave problems behind us, the worse it will be for you.
There is nothing that cannot be solved in our heads, it is just a question of how hard we want it.

Lifting has definitely gotten me through a lot. It's nice seeing consistent progress somewhere in my life even if everything else is falling apart.

Well, I think..

There is no true medication for depression. Investigate why you are depressed and deal with it. Medicine/alcohol/(insert your drug here) just postpone the action needed, and make it worse. Go talk to someone if you can't deal with it yourself, or cannot identify the problem.

Trust me, I have been in situations where someone else might have committed suicide. I dealt with it, and it made me who I am today. Oh, and I have been under self medication in the past (nitrazepam). It doesn't help. Don't take drugs man.

My two cents...

best medicine is Meditation. believe it or not it works.
You should try it, Emptying your mind and just focus on breathing

Well yeah, they are many decent medications nowadays you can be prescribed but nothing will ever cure your depression, it will just supress it to an extent.

The problem will be always there, so if you cannot solve it you better make sure you accept it, man up and move on.

Patients do see an improvement after taking their medication correctly, generally speaking. Don’t get your education about psychiatry, physiology or pharmacology here.

Please see a doctor.

How 1 or 2 people respond to “meds” shouldn’t influence if and how you should take them.

medicaments is a temporary solution and might have some side effects if you buy them without a subscription if you suffer from it for a long time, the best advice I can give you is to visit a doctor,
