funny thing is i just got my ratio really good and now its down lol...there are only a few public trackers left i was talking with some of my musician friends about how this is a big deal cd sales will skyrocket once its far more difficult the get work free, you hear one song from someone you like, download there whole discography in a matter of 15 minutes...while i am sad it went down i am definitely for cracking down on music copyright infringement

Already exists. It's called the DHT or Distributed Hash Table. The reason why actual private trackers (ipt, gfxnews, bittv or others using antelope) have you turn it off is because it allows you to share without access to the actual tracker.
 
Not really.

It was one of a kind since there were so many torrents with a huge variety.

Wow that's news to me, I have been using demonoid on and off for years. Sad to see it go. Wasn't exactly a massive player though.
 
Demonoid was the site with which i got all my lynda tutorials i am having now , its more than 160 gb . my transcend old hd of 320 gb was overflowing once because of the nat geo and edu contents i got from it . it was really a bad ending and it was a new news to me because i was away from demonoid for a long time :(
