Deleted Post for Beta Testers

Hi,

I had a post deleted where I was asking for beta testers.

As reason, it states: you cannot collect outside contact info in a beta review

I didn't link to anything. Only thing I asked for if people who want to participate should email me address, so I can create them a free account.

If I'm not allowed to ask for their email, how is anybody supposed to run a beta test for their software? After all, you will need their email address to create them an account.

What is supposed to be the process here? I am happy to comply with the rules, but im not sure how you can run a beta test for a SaaS without somehow at some point receiving their email address.

You make anonymous accounts with passwords that you give them.

This is what one should do as opposed to build a mail list from a beta test.

Do not include links in your post to off-site forms to collect user's information, email opt-ins, or any other mechanism used to harvest user information.
