Hey guys,

what's your opinion on this?

I'd like to rank my homepage higher and have a bunch of expired domains of high quality. But they would fit far better for deep linking. Is it still worth it?

The pareto principle can be applied with full force in link building. That means 80% of your links can be towards your homepage and 20% to inner pages.

In most cases, this strategy will work because the authority from the homepage will spread to the other pages.

As the OP before me said, that's exactly correct.

If you already have links around your homepage, then you can consider sending links to your inner pages, however, you must make sure you get the authority to your homepage first and then the inner pages of your sites will rank easier. That's why big sites even without links to their inner pages rank so good.

In this case I'd like to built authority to the homepage. That's the issue, I would not want to link to deep pages but that's the more "natural" option. So I thought what is better. Link juice to the homepage, trough the inner page or direct, less natural, linkjuice to the homepage.
