Ive upgraded from a share server to one that has a dedicated IP and resources.

I have read there can be SEO advantages for having dedicated IP. But are there steps you can or should take to improve this, or does search engines just crawl and see the dedicated IP itself and then act on it?

Also i wanted to ask are there any useful things i could use my dedicated IP for?

Normally shared server their are 1000 of websites hosted
so its not good for seo
dedicated IP mean you are on your own home
So you will get your benefits

1. You can make a proxy out of it. But I won't do that if I were you, because Google will record everything you search, and that can link to your domain.
2. You can send newsletters if you have that with your IP, and avoid emails getting into Spam.
 
i just used this tool https://viewdns.info/reverseip/
on my domain

What I saw was that for my domain it shows the IP as a cloudflare IP address

So my site uses cloudflare.

This means from the outside you will see cloudflares Ip and not my IP, so search engines wont even know I now have a dedicated IP, is this right?

if its right then theres no seo benefit right?
 
thats the problem with cloudflare free plan, you have to use their SSL and IP address, yes it gives protection but there should be options to use your own
