You can think of Virtual Private Server as a remote computer just like your pc which runs 24x7 and has a better connection. You just install the software on your VPS and let in run 24x7, you don't need to keep your laptop running for the VPS to run.
You need GSA SER,GSA CB, a content generator and dedicated proxies. You don't need lists to submit to, but a list highly increases your LPM but you can work without it. You don't need a second captcha solution if you're short on money, but it increases the captcha solving rate when you have a second captcha solving service.
I don't think you can use with for GSA SER. Cancel your subscription and get some dedicated proxies in place of the VPN.

LPM is links per minute which means how many links does GSA create per minute. If you have a list, GSA won't have to find targets and will directly create links using the domains from the list. So less time to create more links, which ultimately increases your LPM.
Just purchase a VPS, after that it's just basic stuff. You install programs on it like you install programs on your PC. Everything is similar if not the same.

well just ask gridhost team if they allow running seo software (gsa ser) or not. if yes then you go with.
but i really don't recommend because they have bandwidth limit.
some people here recommend poweruphosting because they allow and full support any seo software.

SHARED HOSTING - I don't think they are ever gonna agree, besides most of them shared hosting providers use linux/debian OS. So no chance of running GSA on them. You can get a cheap VPS for $7/mo for starting out. It's not that expensive imo.
OK I will go for poweruphosting, but, for 1-2 sites, do I must have to run GSA SER campaign 24/7?
Can't I do it using private proxies on my laptop at slow Like Mathew did it on his training vid? Suppose, run the campaign in background while I am doing other work on laptop?

Yes you can. However it does depend on your ISP. They may flag you for unusual activity.

Installing on a VPS is like installing on a normal PC (most will have Windows Server 2008 on them - which - once the IO is configured looks and acts a lot like XP for the layman) Just click the install file... and you are good to go.
Installing on VPS an issue? There are one or two settings you need to configure - and best to set up free AV stuff as well
Try this guide -it's step by step for setting up SEO software on a VPS or server. Even someone with no experience should grasp it in 20 minutes.
