December Core Update 2020

When ever a new update rolls in, my site goes down for a week by around 40% then automatically recovers 20% in the next week, and take around a month to fully recover. All in all, these updates can't harm you if you have good content and backlinks!

I am adding content daily. Let's see, if it makes any difference.

We need to check page by page which page rank got dropped and need to work on it accordingly. For our sites we have a drop but not too huge from next week we will get an idea depends on the lead flow.

Some updates effect our sites in visibility wise.

I have seen a drop in crawling stats on my site after the update.

Any way to recover from the recent Google update? Traffic almost dropped by 60%!
What is the characteristic of the number 1 ranked position for your primary keyword? Also what was this website ranking before the Dec update?

I was getting daily 2500 traffic. Some keywords were in the featured snippet and others were in the range of 1-10. Doing CPA SEO!

The only way to recover is to keep doing what you do in the first place.
Building high quality links.

It's too complicated these days to put your trust in G to generate traffic. (Due to mass updates)
I believe that building your list is more important than your SERP position.

The list is always with you. the SERP positions could be changed at any day.

Thinking to get some guest post links.

This right here! there are going to be ups and downs in traffic. Just stick it out.

I would start more sites, never ever rely on one site in SEO, in my opinion. I even do 2-3 sites targeting the same niche/keywords (sometimes) for this reason.

I do the same but the thing is every site is at the same pace.

Whenever an update after 2018 has hit us, it was usually because of intent.

Our content wasn't fulfilling the intent of the searcher, hence google dropped us down and brought up someone whose content made more sense.

Try adding the missing puzzle in your content.
