Debit account. when payment threshold is not reached

  • This is a common payment issue when Facebook has trouble with your card or suspects unusual activity.
  • How to fix it:
    • Use a reliable international card, avoid low-quality virtual cards
    • Pay manually before hitting the threshold
    • Don’t let the account owe even a few dollars — it can trigger a spending limit
    • If the issue repeats, consider creating a new Business Manager (BM) and warming it up with a clean payment method
→ Prioritize account quality and stable payments over trying to scale too fast.

existing campaigns and create a new one with natural content and images, set a small budget. maybe you should try a different payment method or set up a prepaid card with tighter payment controls.

This is a sign that the account is being assessed as a credit risk. The solution is to use another payment method, increase the reliability of the account (spend regularly, do not change IP continuously) or switch to an agency account to run stably.

this happens when Fb's algorithm doesn't have enough trust in your account, so it charges you more frequently to reduce its own risk. to fix it, you need to build up your account's credibility by consistently making timely payments, which will eventually increase your payment threshold and allow campaigns to run longer before being charged

Hi there! Account debt before hitting threshold is definitely frustrating and can disrupt campaigns! This usually happens due to payment method issues or billing delays.

Here's how to fix it: go to Ads Manager → "Billing & Payments" → check if your payment method is valid and not declined. Add a backup payment method if needed. Then go to "Payment Settings" → "Manual Payments" and make a manual payment to clear the debt immediately.

Contact Facebook Support through Business Help Center to reset your billing cycle if the issue persists. Also check "Account Quality" to ensure no other restrictions are affecting spending.

I've seen this resolved quickly with manual payments - it prevents campaign disruptions while Facebook processes regular billing.

What payment method are you currently using, and have you tried adding a backup card to prevent future billing hiccups?

As the title. my account is in debt before reaching the threshold, it has only spent a few dollars/total threshold and the payment happens regularly so it has ruined my campaign. is there any way to fix it?
Check the quality of your account, it may be having an error and needs to be fixed.

If you have debt, just pay it off, there's no problem. If the debt exceeds or deviates more than the actual amount you spent on your account, you can file a complaint with the Facebook team.
