Hey folks.
Just wanted to share my experience with deathbycaptcha service. Their service although cheaper then decaptcher is suck big time! I use them alot and lately about 30%+ of the captchas solved incorrectly. To make a matter worse when I claim bad captchas I never get credit for bad captchas so in reality their service cost 30-40% more then they advertise. I plan on using decaptcher from now and on.

I've been using them and it works alright for me. The success rate of DBC is around the same as Decaptcher, so whatever works for me.

don't ignore the fact they've got the shittiest of the shittiest api's ever.

Their shit doesn't close connections properly, so if you make a lot of captcha it will eventually exhaust all your ports.
A month ago I tried to starta program on my dedi and it just wouldn't start. Kept crashing.
Only later on have I found out that I have like 8k opened connections to DBC.

Personally I use antigate.com and use decaptcher as backup.
Cheapest bang for the buck.
I've got level 6 account so all my captchas cost only 0,8c (spent a lot of k$ there), and additionally if you solve I think 20k per day they automatically appoint a 10% discount on top of that, so they charge 0.7$ per 1000.

they have their downsides though.
Overloading is biggest one. Their servers are almost ALL the time at 90%+ load and often at 100% so small overbidding is needed (usually around 1.1- 1.2$).

another one is their purchase policy. you do not get credited automatically like you do in decaptcher, but instead receive a 12 digit alphanumeric code to your mail, which you enter in the CP to refill account.
Smallest value is 10$, biggest is 50$, so when you're ordering 500$ worth of captcha you'll go nuts entering your info on avangate (their payment processor) again and again.

It's still half cheaper than decaptcher so \o/ for that.

Oh, don't know about DBC, but I know antigate has some cool optional features you can use.

Like:
- specifying that captcha is numbers only. worker has to enter ONLY numbers or it won't accept his input
- specifying that captcha has 2 or more words, so typers won't enter thisisawesome, 3 words as 1.
- specifying that captcha is a russian word. You can send it to a russian worker (very important for cyrilyc captchas).
- specifying that captcha should be summed up. VERY useful for mathematical captchas.

- then there is statistics that show you all the images you sent, images solved, complaint button under each image. ALL the captcha images are stored, so you can see what you were solving 2 weeks ago).

- there's the limit per IP feature, so only allowed ip's will be able to spend credits with your account

- then there's a security token. You do not enter username/pass in your program to solve it, but instead only use that in their CP. For your program you get a 13 digit alphanumeric number "w54b54yv45754bv45v" like this, that you input in your program.

This makes sure you cant get hacked by having your credentials stolen from a decrypted program exe.

I run about 40 threads when teir service shows OK and about 10 threads when they show busy and no matter what I do it's just about 30-40% of it wrong on a first go. It's crazy...

I have been using DBC I thought decaptcha was done with, i tried searching for decaptcha but the website isn't there and it took me to a twitter account. I didn't search that hard but where the hell is the website?

decaptcher is now located on de-captcher.com, de-captcher.info and few other domains.

Main one decaptcher.com is linking to twitter.

No clue what's going on. Maybe their domain got snatched? Internal dispute? Who knows, point being is decaptcher is still there, just on another URL

Yes, at first I thought DBC was great. But in fact the success rate is 60% and you have to pay for failed captchas. So real price is $2+ per 1000. I'm going to switch to antigate.

It is no secret that DBC is having some type of internal issues. When I contacted them back in December about the various URL and server moves, the response they sent me was, "We're doing this to protect our customers..."

WTF??? C'mon DBC; that's your final answer???

Suffice it to say, I'd be cautious about depositing large sums of money into DBC at the moment.

Do you DBC deathbycatpcha or Decaptcha, as the above post as said Decaptcha is the one moving domains?

DBC = deathbycaptcha
decaptcher = decaptcher
antigate = antigate
humancoder=imagetypers

He probably ment DBC=decaptcher.

Internal issue or not, it's still pretty shitty how they handled things. There were NO announcements whatsoever, they did not write anything on twitter, they haven't even sent anyone a friggin email or posted on any of large forums such as BHW notifying their users.

If I didn't instinctively check for alt domains (.net went down a month before for few days) I would never have found out it's even up, just on another domain.

The way they handled (or rather failed to handle) this situation is an ENORMOUS MINUS for decaptcher from my end. It's been weeks since it happened and we still don't have any idea what is going on.

On the other hand, they must be bathing in cash if they have this give-a-fuck attitude.

When I had fallout of service occur to me in the past I did my best to notify my users and make the recovery as transparent as possible.

Deathbycaptcha fucking blows, I been saying that for ages, they cant handle any volume at all.

One time I complained and their admin wrote me back and said because everybody got paid the days before a lot of them didn't show up for work that day and that's why it was sucking so bad......lol......I was like wtf?

Same here, I get about 90% success a couple of months ago but now it's down by 70%.

I guess you get what you pay for. :/

I will probably be moving back to decaptcher. I wish captchasniper was already done to do recaptchas. It would be a killer deal. BUT I don't think it's gonna happen somehow...

Anyways, I am running de-captcher today and if situation won't improve with deatcbycaptcha fuck them!

Disregard my post, I saw the comments about DeCaptcher and wrongly assumed the thread was about DeCaptcher and not DeathBy Captcha. That's what happens when New England Faktriots wins.

i just switched from decaptcher to deathbycaptcha yesterday.. when these funds run out i'm going to switch back I guess.

all day yesterday and today I've been getting overloaded messages with a few going through every couple minutes.

my performance level is at 87%

the new site is dacatpcha with a - between da and catpcha. That's the email I got on Dec. 25th

Sorry to the cryptic message, I can't post links yet.

Haven't received a SINGLE email from decaptcher. I got like 6 accounts there, maybe more.

i also used deathbycaptcha. the problem i faced is their counting is wrong, like if my bot used 1000 captcha their stat shows 1200. That's it.
