Dead links - Is it better to remove them?

Please see attached screenshot. It shows what I am talking about. I have a lot of "dead links" and "not present". This is from Nightwatch backlink tracking.

Is it better to remove them or leave it?
Just remove these from your tool lol. Those links don’t exist anymore, and hence they are shown as non existent (not present should mean that the page is there, but not the link.. and link dead should either mean it’s resulting in 404 or the domain might have expired… just guessing).

As others have said this is a little confusing. Can you clarify that the below is correct.

Dead link means its a backlink pointing to your website but the pages on your site no longer exists?

Not present means the backlink has now been removed from the website that was linking to you?

You should always delete them. Pointing links to sites that do not exist is very harmful for your website.

Ok, so I should delete them from my backlink tool (Nightwatch) and use Googles Disavow tool to remove the linking?

You can't get rid of dead links. You can either disavow them or find a replacement.

I think he means link that google indexed but its been removed from the site......All you can do is disavow them I guess

You can't remove those links since they don't exist anymore, they are dead which means they don't function anymore. I think they will vanish after some time, but it's not possible to remove them automatically.
