Daily News Rewriter Needed

We're looking for (1-2) writers to rewrite 5-10 news articles a day, during weekdays and Saturdays. This job is rewriting news articles, which is much easier than writing original articles.

Each piece should be at least 300 words. We will send out a list of news that content writers will use for story development. New News topics will be presented to content writers each day. 1 to 2 writers is preferred to avoid any missed days due to sickness or holiday. Daily tasks would include the following:

1) Check email to review daily topics
2) Rewrite news articles into 300-word posts
3) Check article against Copyscape

The rewritten articles should be in a smooth flowing, news-like style. Articles should be 100% original if you use software to spin articles please don't apply for this job.

Articles must be completed with good grammar, punctuation, spelling and they must pass Copyscape premium.

You should be able to communicate by email/skype during weekdays, and need to be available during weekdays. I need someone who can start right away. I also need you to commit to writing these news articles every day - missed deadlines will result in project termination.

Reliability is extremely important. You must have references where you provide a similar service to apply.

Payment - $1 per article; you are looking at making approximately $300-600 a month.

Working with Wordpress is a plus, as you will be required to upload the article to our website platform.

Also knowledge in SEO is a plus. Must know SEO.

Also if you sell editorial links on the side, we are willing to let you put links in articles in lieu of payment. You may be able to make out more by doing that.

We are open to that. We'll discuss the terms if/when applicable.

Our site is a Google News website with DA of 32 currently and a Moz Rank of 5.64.

We're also open to performance bonuses as well if you're able to write articles that consistently brings in traffic and are SEO optimized fully to do so.

We won't hire anyone without a resume or portfolio for us to analyze their writing style.

Is the $1 per 300-word article negotiable at all? Not saying it should be or has to be, if your numbers tell you $1 is your limit then that's your limit. I'm just wondering is there any room for negotiation. If so I'd like to talk.

You're not going to get a native writer at $1 per 300 words lol. At that price you could get someone from india/philippines

I agree with The Flame. You need to be able to pay more if you want a native to write quality articles for you. Just saying.

I wouldnt even put these articles through my spin software for a dollar a piece.

Please know that the success of a news website is not just about news writing. You have to work on your traffic also.

If you have no other source of regular traffic and if you will only rely on the content being published everyday, expect that it will take time for you to get a sizable organic traffic.

You cannot hold the writer as the only one responsible in working towards the success of your news website. This is a wrong expectation that everyone who wants to venture on news websites (including non news websites) should realize.

If you need a good ROI (return on investment), you got to help your writer by, at least, working on the traffic. The job of the writer is to write engaging and high-quality content, but if you didn't get 1,000 organic traffic the next day (especially for a new website with no source of traffic and all), don't blame the writer.

To reply to everyone, and I understand your concerns. But just to further elaborate, our site does get decent traffic but not every article we can say would be justified if we spent $5 on them for example.

We currently pay writers now on a pay per performance bonus and I've paid over $3,000 this year to my writers WITH NO UPFRONT payment per article. So what I'm proposing is in addition to the performance bonuses.

Again, right now I do have content regularly provided by writers who get no upfront payment but I have an ad share system in place that seems to be working for the most part. The reason for this listing is because most of my writers do Op-Eds and meatier posts and don't post every single day. That's why I need news rewrites to fill in the gaps.

I can show those my site, for those who are seriously interested in what I'm saying now that I have clarified some of the issues you have about my site.

Y'all can take a look at it, look at the terms that I have for my other contributors (those I don't pay upfront) and see if it's something you'd consider.

Just to further elaborate, I'm not holding the writer at all to be the only responsible one in getting traffic to site. That is not what I'm saying AT ALL.

That is one of the reasons, perhaps my main reason for being on a SEO forum after all, lol. That's what brought me to BHW to learn traffic techniques and as you can see by some of my other posts, that I rarely bring this kind of stuff up on here. I usually look for writers on other sites and job boards.

I pay a lot of money to get traffic into site and pay my writers. I use FB ads, have an SEO team and things of that nature which is the reason why I can't afford to pay $5 per post. What good is a post without traffic?

I have a pay per performance program and a lot of the times, I'm paying for the traffic AND still paying my authors on top of that for said traffic that I'm sending their way to increase their earnings.

So I don't want you to think that I'm placing all of the traffic burdens on the writer. All saying is that because I pay for all this and have a system in place that does bring in traffic, I'm looking for writers to help take that traffic to the next level.

Update: Article doesn't Have to be uploaded to Wordpress but we do offer performance bonuses for those who have an author account set up for statistical tracking purposes and upload articles themselves.

Also, I don't do Skype for this but I am willing to share my site link with those who are serious but I must see writing samples first so we won't waste each other's time.
