Fellow Blackhatters,

I have been a vivid reader of lot of forums ranging from webmaster forums, SEO forums, Developer forums and Lot of Black hat stuff. It's time i just give back to this great forum which has made me grow to a blogger who earns a living from it.

The purpose of this thread is to guide every single blogger out there to take their blogging steps in a right way to achieve glory. I will be giving two to three liner tips each day from the following categories:

1.General blogging
2.Tips on free hosted blogger blogs
3.Tips on self hosted wordpress blogs
4.Search engine optimization
5.Blog monetization
6.Blog Traffic tips
7.Email Marketing tips
8.Social media marketing
9.PPC marketing

Each day i will post my knowledge here! it my way of giving back to this forum. If you read some of the tips which you are already aware of, pass on! it might be useful for others. The Theme of this forum is to help everyone searching for answers to come to one place and quench their doubts.

Blogging Tip #1

Lets get started, why one should blog? Fellow bloggers ask this question each day in front of a mirror and try to answer it. Everyday when you see yourself repeating the same thing, the motive of your blogging becomes subconscious and you will never move away from your goal even a single day after that. Blogging will naturally become a part of you, at this moment you will enjoy blogging rather than taking it as a burden on your shoulders!

I liked this tip solely because it talks about using subconscious. We can have a crystal clear goal, if we believe in it. Blogging can be a boring task but if we have a clear purpose for blogging, then things get easier.

Purpose to blogging is most important it can be your hobby or casual blogging or serious blogging for money
 
Blogging Tip #2

Always have a clear blogging plan, when you are ready for blogging. Do not jump in without any plan as you are bound to fail.When you do not plan you are going to read lot of junk and you head will finally be overloaded with information.When you have information overload you are bound to fail and lose interest in blogging. So Plan..Plan..Plan..

Planning is the main thing to get success. If you start blogging without have a solid plan then you will not get the success. but if you start with a very good planning then you will get success. Don't think blogging is just for making money. think that its a part of you. then you will get success.

Absolutely right, planning is very important. One more key thing for newcomers to succeed in blogging is to be patient. You've control only until you create a blog and put your efforts. One may get easily frustrated seeing no traffic, no earnings etc and easily call it off. So have to be patient, focused and continous efforts brings it successful. Only very few people overcome it and become pros.

I agree two P's: patience and planning are necessary in addition to be as consistent as possible.
 
Planned blogging is only option to get revenue from your blog. If you haven't any plans then you are just wasting time.

what do you mean by planning blogging? I started a blog in the fitness niche, was thinking about writing an article a day consistently and writing supplement reviews, bodybuildign routines, etc.

Planning in the sense you got plan for the following

1. Producing content - daily, weekly or monthly
2. SEO plan
3. Design and navigation
4. Social promotion
5. Building list

This is a basic plan you could implement.
 
Blogging tip#3
Never Hangout in others blog, Hang out in yours and write articles with passion for your readers. Do not write for writing sake your quality will come down drastically.Try to create a content that can be read by people even after 10 years down the line. Write great tuts, How to's, tips and tricks articles.

A blog can be handled only by those who are passionate about it. I have come across many blog owners who start a blog on a high but stop updating it abruptly because they lose interest from it. So, if an individual plans to start a blog, then he must also consider his area of interest.

Btw @OP .. I like the way you are devoted towards this thread and becoming a guide for newbies. Way to go mate. cheers.
