Dad died - How to unlock phone pattern?

I don't know if you're talking about your dad, but if so, let me send you my condolences, man. So, to do it, It all depends on the type of phone, is it an Android?

If it's an Android, most GSM shops in your town should be able to handle it.

Alternatively, you can try to check if you can see the pattern on the screen and guess it (skin-oil left from unlocking the phone).

Yes, my dad.

It's android. Not sure what model.

I tried to open his Facebook, so I can post on his timeline that he died. But Facebook wants verification, because new device.

I can't unlock his phone to do that verification.

I can't do email verification, because the only email logins he left is of a different email address, not the one he is registered on Facebook with.

There's also like a comments and friends verification, which I guess I'll try if all else fails.

But I need to gain access to his phone. I tried many various patterns, but they all failed. Now each one I try, I'm forced to wait 30 seconds before I can try again. I'm terrified I'll push the phone to do some further lock, and then I'll never get it open.

For fucks sake. His other phone, a Huawei, turns on but the screen is broken/black. I heard a Facebook message came in. It charges, it turns on, but the screen is black. It only flickers when I lock/unlock it. But it doesn't flicker enough for me to see anything.

I don't even know if this phone is locked. Maybe I can get the screen fixed, if possible. And then if there's no password or pattern, I can open it, and verify Facebook that way.

Goddamn it...

First find out the phone model, just remove the back cover and battery. There you'll find the details. If the battery is permanently mounted in the phone. Then attach it to your PC via data cable and use Dr.fone by wondershare to know about the phone info and bypass the pattern lock with it.

You can definitely do it, I had about ~5 screen changes done.

Go to a GSM/phone repair shop in your city and explain them the situation, they'll replace the screen and unlock the phone.

For Android, to access the data you need at least to have any proof that you own it.

Its really easy if you know his android gmail login which I know you dont or your wouldn't be asking here

Through ADB but for that USB Debug must be enabled which I believe its not

This leaves you with only option which is phone reset which means you lose all the data on the mobile.

This actually a brilliant idea. It can't be solved using software, but can be done with hardware. Whatever responsible for the lock can be changed even temporarily to disable the lock and you are done as all the data on the memory. This is a great solution that would definitely work

I may just go full retard and start trying patterns, writing down which ones i did already. And just try a few new ones every day until the end of time, or until i get the right one.

Maybe its ridiculous. I dont know.

Sorry to hear that. I would have liked to help you under the best of circumstances, but I will try to help a little.

First, let me say that it is quite complex as it takes into account the type of phone etc.

I know with some Android, you can do Power + Volume Up for 5-10 seconds. After that, you will be in the phone configuration. You could normally access to "Wipe data", but on the other hand, if you don't have access to the Google account which was linked to this phone, I don't know if it will be possible.

Maybe go to a specialty store, there may be help.

My condolences, it sucks.

When it comes to the android, you cannot bypass and it might block if you try too many times.

If not, GL, there are 389,112 combinations.

For now im just getting the 30 second locks.

My dad was very sick and not very technical, and not very aware or security or whatever. I would bet his pattern is 4 or 5 spots.

I keep trying. I tried the most common patterns. I tried name and last name initials. No luck.
 
Anyone knows where i can find all possible 4 point pattern combinations?

From some reading i did, there's like 1.600 of them.

Worth a shot. Wouldnt take forever.
