Not sure how many signups they have daily, but if this suddenly spikes to hundreds/thousands in a day it would raise alarms. A quick Google search will find this thread... Hey presto, no more self-editing of profiles.

Doubt if they'd get hundreds of thousands in a day because of this thread, even through a google search

Agreed, was an extreme example, but - depending on the wit/diligence webmaster of the site - unusual spikes wouldn't be hard to pinpoint... If they gave enough of a monkeys, they could make the links NF or add a manual approval process, as they do for their articles. Big up to OP for the share regardless, and make hay while the suns shines and that - but just my 2 cents :-)

If they don't patch it up soon, but eventually, the site will at least be good for short term backlinking purposes.

Or in another scenario, it will last at least for a meanwhile, Like Pinterest as it used to give a d o f o l l o w backlinks before it was reversed into nofollow

All right tried for a client let's see how it goes, this thread is crazy I think there's a seller here selling this type of link can't remember for sure he surely won't like it lol. Keep sharing more of this bless you. How long will it take to index and seen in google analytics
