Customer sent ~$13k instead of $23

im pro of refund, one day he will notice that he sent 13k, and if u refund he most likely wont change you ever for the kind of services you sell.

Good to see all these great responses, the world is not lost at all, positive things are just not mainstream media most of the time.

I would refund and send the money back, The universe is testing you to see if you are worth x1000 more.

Remember the Golden Rule :

“Don't do unto others what you don't want to be done unto you.” - Confucius

He has added the response that refund has been done. Still members asking him to refund.

YOLO it all on meme stonks, double your money then return his $13k or tell him you lost it "investing in the stonk market".

Jk... just refund the guy, do the right thing. This is black hat world, not white collar crime world.

I would let him know immediately and refund him the money. Everyone says otherwise is a scammer.

But there are other ways you can also benefit from this. Ask him to leave a thankful and nice review on your social media profiles explaining the situation, a guest post or case study that you can use to promote and establish instant trust with your future customers.

This has the potential to worth x10 that in the upcoming months-years.

Do the right thing. Return their money and gain more trust

Refund him, well done.

Do the right thing man. The best feeling of happiness is when you are happy because you've made someone else happy :)

Obviously, you should refund. It helps you build trust, which is the most important in business.

However, what would happen if you don't? Are there any ways someone can get their money back?

I don't understand why you can't make simple life decisions.

You have 2 options.

1. Do the right thing. Refund.
2. Do the evil thing. Keep the money.

Make a decision based on your upbringing values.

I was once in a similar position although a far smaller amount, I contacted them said they should check their maths as they've paid too much. They replied saying no this is correct amount, I'm still not sure what was going on but they wouldn't take the money back. They're still a client but its not happened since.

I've also experienced a potential client say, are you sure? you should charge us more! They're also still a client, I didn't charge more but said just keep the work coming and well both be happy. I did increase my rates for new clients the next day.

Refund the money and you will have a loyal customer for life

Just want to say that I have not even received a response (like a "thank you") from the customer after issuing the refund (>24h ago). I'm slightly disappointed.

(And the customer has received my email because she had already transferred the funds to another wallet afterward).

The good side of me will refund the money. The bad side will still refund it. Wait. No

Always keep with your own norms and worths. You showed respect by refunding it. Wether your customer said thank you or not, you can always watch yourself in the mirror and say to yourself I did the right thing. Even though the customer didn't showed respect by not saying thank you.
