I'm really not trying to be nasty. But what do you IM experts use these cheap $2 or Less articles for? They CAN'T be any good, grammatically. And they most likely are NOT carefully crafted articles by an inspirational wordsmith. Aren't they basically just spun and respun content, ultimately filled with poor word choices and phrasing? If this is true...and you use them for your websites, then aren't you worried about Google Rankings (don't they plummet if Google suspects you to be filling the Internet with garbage?). Aren't you worried about the reputation of your website?

Or do you using them for some other, covert operation that is not affiliated with your company brand. Ths is BHW, after all. I'm really just trying to learn what you use them for.

Thanks for your time. I'm really very curious.

:)

Generally that kind of article is used in one's backlink infrastructure... hopefully not directly linking to a site but perhaps a Tier 2 or 3 level.

You use these articles for link building. I actually used a service that only charges $1.4 per article and it was actually pretty good, I would not put it on my money site but you could use it on tier 1 with no problem.

You could also use them to fill out your PBN if you want to save a few bucks on content.

The quality of these articles are not too bad, just need to find the right supplier.

Have you ever ordered a $2 article? Just because the article is cheap doesn't mean the quality is. I understand in most situations you get what you pay for, but most articles that are purchased are genuine and not to mention, just do your research on the person selling the service.

And I'm sure someone ranking in google would do some thorough research and/or just write the articles themselves, giving them the unique content they want. It's not hard to research and write an article. Spun articles surely violate some TOS in regards to ordering, considering you're paying for "unique" content, they can't sell you crap that is just article spun.

Thanks. I had to look up "backlinking tier 2 or 3 level" on Google. So, you might use these as fake comments from fake people on blogs, while including a link back to your website which has the GOOD STUFF. The poor grammar makes the blog comment appear "human." Is that it? Or maybe one valid use among many?

While you make good points, a $2 article will never be good enough for a money site, quality wise, and anyone who provides the quality needed for a money site for $2 is a nut job and should raise their prices

Nope. I've never bought a $2 article, but I've bought loads of $25 to $250 articles. And even some of those need a tweak here and there. But I am not in IM. So, I was just curious.

Thanks. Obviously they are useful for something. So many people are offering them in this forum. I'm trying to piece together the new Google Algorithm Update, and as they say "Content is King." These $2 articles seem contradictory to SEO. But as you all have told me, you don't use them for that. Very interesting. I had NO idea. You all are very "creative." lol

See? You just taught me something else. I had to Google "PBN." lol You guys in here are Internet Marketing Geniuses. Truly. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Dont listen to people who say content is king.

Content is Queen, Hyperlinks is King

You do need good content BUT throw up a phd level article with no links and see if google gives a damn.

The only time content is king is if your targeting little 10-90 search terms with 0 comp.

I am coming to the conclusion, after spending a couple of weeks in here, that Google does not necessarily HAVE to rule the world in order to make money online. So many IM-ers seem to be caring less about high page rankings and SEO than they do about traffic, regardless of the source. They don't want to depend solely on Google for their traffic anymore, who is constantly changing their analytics and "the rules of the game." I may need to change my thinking a bit when it comes to "pleasing the Google gods."

But the "PHD article" tidbit made me stop and think, too. That really put things into a better perspective. Thanks again.

These types of low quality articles will be useful for PBN sites, but still if you made a good article then they rank pretty. I used to buy and article for $10 with minimum 500 words and some people even sell spuned articles for that price.
I still seen on some popular forums people asks for such price, but one should think what will be the time takes for writer?

I bought 20 articles for $5 because I had writer's block. Then I rewrote about 10 of them by hand, twisting them a bit so they matched my keywords.
I'm considering hiring someone to do $1 "articles" but they would be less than 100 words (I can write a 100 word intro and 50 word conclusion for them). Other than that, I would think backlinks maybe.

People who use these are usually using them for link building purposes which is why they pay so little for them.

These $2 articles can be useful depending on how you make use of them. You can use it for Tier 2 or Tier 3 site when building links. You can also use them as basis for your next article or post just by simply rewriting the entire content or editing grammatically incorrect areas.

They are good for SEO purposes. With a bit of editing they can be used on a site. Get someone to rewrite an article you like cheaply, edit it, and then you have a decent article.

I learned about PBN thanks to BHW, just like you :)
BHW - a true knowledgebase...

There are some good article writers out there that charge little for articles. yes sometimes you have to pay more for higher quality but some just charge little because they like to write.

Or maybe they charge little because they want to get clients?
