Curious if my XBox Kinect domain is worth anything?

BestKinectGame dot com? I'm not even using it. I have too many other projects. It was set up as an Amazon store but I switched hosting, lost the modified theme and Amazon stuff, and again, busy elsewhere. Had an offer of $50 and thinking about taking it. I have a demo site of a fantasy football faq up there right now for my father-in-law lol. One of his football buddies wants it. Anyway, I could use a little cash right now, absolutely every bit counts.

Figured I'd ask here before I did it. Thanks!

It was set up as a pretty awesome review site. But only done and going for about three weeks before offline life intervened for about 8mos and hosting expired after a month. It made $12 LOL.

Haggle for more but if nothing then settle for $50.

Oh, and change the first post in case the buyer googles it. I'm not sure if the buyer would appreciate it if people were giving you advice on trying to get more money out of him.

Once MS sees this post, they could well take the name of you for
using their Kinect Brand name, so I would take the 50 now, before you get
a C&D which will return you registration fee at best.
Good Luck, and please return to let us all know what eventually happens.
Thanks

your domain is awesome for marketing.

problem is the kinect sucks hahaha. Nobody wants to use it. What you need is for an awesome kinect game that makes everyone want to play the kinect come along.

It might happen. $10+ a month to renew the domain....just hold it and look at it as an investment.;)

^ My thoughts exactly. Although the Kinect was cool when it first came out, it quickly became a gimmick. I had high hopes for the Star Wars Kinect game, but from what I've seen it doesn't look at all like I had hoped. In order for the site to really flourish, you need a great game to be released that will give people an incentive to use the site.

Well, I'm a gamer, and I do see a future for the thing. I don't have one myself, but we're starting to see these gesture-tracking devices gaining traction, with all sorts of crazy uses. Answering your phone, pausing the TV, flipping channels with gestures rather than a remote. It's all pretty interesting, and I think these names will be around a while. The Kinect, Sony has the Move I think? Or maybe it's the Wii. Either way, I do think that these are going to become fixtures in our living rooms.

I might hold onto it after all. Just because I'm busy right now doesn't mean I will be in a month or two, and setting it up really only takes a couple/few days for this slow non-coder, LOL.

@Max, I was wondering about that, since MS apparently owns BestKinectGames.com - and I own the Game.com version of the phrase. If they want to send a C&D over it...well, can't say I wasn't warned. ;-) I was pretty careful saying I wasn't affiliated, etc etc, it was a pretty nice site. But legally I have no idea when it comes to having a brand name in the URL - I've never done it, avoided it like the plague, this was a quick purchase a while ago because I have a 4yo and eventually we'll get a game system, haha.

Thanks guys!
