You basically said that upvoting a post is the same as upvoting a comment—this was your analysis. Whether it’s true or not, I don’t know. You didn’t add any other points, but this post is about understanding which accounts might be the safest.

Redditors aren't stupid, so if a user has <1000 comment karma they're going to be suspicious of it.

Also post history matters. If it has a ton of comments from 3 years ago on warhammer models and then suddenly the account started making comments about diet supplements, Redditors are going to notice that sudden change - especially if you're posting controverisal/promotional things.

Don't understimate the level of pettiness of Reddit users, they'll dig into your post history and report the account.
 
I've had good experiences with aged accounts, even with very little karma and few posts. However, accounts based solely on karma and post count (without age, maybe 2-3 months) often end up shadowbanned for no apparent reason.

i dont think a reddit user will notice that subtle changes, it probably the site filters, or the sub filters that are detecting those.
 
Honestly, I don’t think users have that much power. In my opinion, user reports aren’t even taken into consideration because there are so many of them. I’m sorry—or maybe I’m glad—that this post took a different turn, because the title was “buying Reddit accounts.”
 
if you buy an account (even if its aged with karma) treat it like a brand new one. no posts, comments or even upvotes for the first few days.

Of course, yes. An account that’s been purchased has to get used to the new fingerprint, the new cookies, and the new IP location. So yes

Where do you guys go to buy reddit accounts?

If my goal is to just post and have the posts survive. What % success rate am I likely looking at with $10 accounts? By success I mean they don't get banned within the first 2 weeks of use.

It depends on many factors—your proxies, your fingerprint, your actions. Three days ago I bought a $30 account with 200 comment karma, active in 20 subs and with about 50 contributions. That’s definitely better than buying an account I saw here with 1,000 post karma and 100 comment karma but only 4 contributions and active in just 1 sub, if you know what I mean.
