CTR = 0.1 % only !!! Need help.

Hey

i started a campaign and got 30000 impressions, but only 30 clicks.

i know that the targeting was good, cause i chose very similar bands.

But i think my "ad" is bad.

What should i do better here?

i Paid 0.40 $ for 1000 impressions.

I'm not sure you can simply conclude that if a person likes metal band A, also likes metal band B. After all, we are not rational when it comes to art. Brake the ad into smaller ads (smaller targeted audience groups), targeting only 1 specific band each time and analyze the outcome.


A few pointers:

- Use CPC when you can't micro target (for example, you don't know or cant find the right likes and interests that would give you a small sniper targeted group of people)

- If you can use micro targeting, then CPM will probably be the best choice.

- I would crop that image a little and make people on it look bigger. Probably I would use picture where you can clearly see a person's face.

- Try more than 1 image. You'll be surprised how different CTR's you'll get with each.

- When using a face, look for funny, angry, stabbing-eyes kind of face.

- Framing an ad with a thin red line would be a good addition. Split test of course, just to be sure.

- Women is better than man (often even when targeting women).

- Try it via Fan Page, initial CTR will be much higher but I can't say anything about the final ROI.

to add on to earlier points shared by Mojstermiha; also try creating 2 -3 ads with different images ...to see which one is giving best CTR

isnt a 0,01$ click job better than a job based on impressions?
i tried imp jobs a few times but never got a clickrate high enough
any tricks on that?

CPM based ads always receive less click than CPC.

i tried it myself today

switched my inactive 0,25% cpc to a cpm and... same campaign, same img, same text but 0,020% clickrate instead :#

clicks cost me 3,5x more than with cpc
