Read about BIP 148. Basically, a possible split is looming in Bitcoin due to implementation of Segwit, and it's dragging all other cryptos down too.
Hello, thanks for all this useful information. I do have a question regarding BTC fees.
I'm trying to buy BTC from coin base to transfer them to bittrex but the fees are so high. Price was 2950 euros/BTC. I spend only 20 eur to try and at the end I got like 0.00640093 BTC in bittrex if I do the math with all the fees its like buying at 3357 euros.
Is there any way to lower the fees? I'd like to buy some BTC but so many fees that it does not look very interesting. Any ideas?

You could try localbitcoins (dot) com select cash vendor near your area meet up and buy bitcoins in cash. Try to seek out a reputable vendor.
