Crypto frozen and GitHub users banned for working on Tornado Cash

For those of you that don't know, Tornado Cash was a crypto mixer on Ethereum to try to make money private.

Today the US sanctioned Ethereum addresses associated w/ a privacy service called Tornado cash. Circle immediately froze the USDC in those accounts. GitHub suspended contributors to Tornado. If you were waiting for the opening shot of big brother’s assault on crypto this was it

it was just a matter of time, almost all known hackers use them to cash out their stolen crypto.
 
Definitely a story worth following. Mixers are absolutely the worst thing for crypto because they demand government intervention to stop the bad guys from evading the government.

Github suspending their devs accounts is a business decision because things like this can bite them in the long run. almost all hackers that stole crypto use tornado cash to disguise their funds, this got the attention of the mainstream media. Mark my words monero will face the same faith if it gets the same level of negative attention as tornado cash did.

So basically you want all your transactions to be public. You want the state and all other people to know exactly what you buy, sell, where you do these and how much money you have? It doesn't look like a good decision in the long term. Dictators and thieves take advantage of this.

I get that you want to punish bad guys, but you can also give them power. Chose wisely. Privacy is good. Just like cash is.

The government is required to be able to track financial transactions. It's necessary to operate government and prevent harm to the state. If you hate government, there are a few good countries you could try living in, such as Somalia. What country are you currently living in and why haven't you moved?

You know mixers attract certain types of people and transactions in the first place right? and I can assure you it's not the average joe who trades regularly.
 
So, bad boys rob the bank and take millions of dollars, then government ban the cash! I don't think so!
 
I would prefer we have some regulations to be honest, there’s just so much scam projects running around the more people get scammed the more people going to stay away from crypto for good even from legit projects, that hurts the entire market

They did it to cover their asses.....complicity to international money laundering is not a small thing.
 
Aave also blocked address that received anything from tornado cash, even if some random people send you anything you'll be blocked from using aave. This people are disgrace to decentralized community, it's time to stand with tornado cash, everyone should stand with them.

Do kwon who scam thousand people through his ponzi Luna is still roaming freely but sure they arrested a tornado cash dev.
