Critique My Logo!!

As an Internet Marketer and someone who sees outside the box I love it .... my only problem is how will it look in black and white or on a letterhead? It may not be something you are going to do with it but when I have logos designed I always want to know how it will look blown up for a poster or shrunk down to the top part of a piece of paper.

looks good, and I agree with the others, looks better in normal font rather than italic.

offtopic:
Can I pretend to be one of those retarded design clients ? Ok here it goes:
"hey, looks good so far, but I just talked with my wife and 3 years old son based on the logo you provided for us so far, and we just had this great idea to include somehow our cat in the design as well ! yeah i know it sounds strange but my wife says it will help our business and website more.

Here i included a pic with the cat: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/ca/Niobe050905-Siamese_Cat.jpeg Please check it out and "add it" somehow to the logo, I'm not too good with technical stuff on computer but would love to have the cat and the text NEWBIE CASH together. Also maybe add some swirls around the cat, like it's so powerful that even my cat can do it. Make it stand out please".

If you are in a design competition you win. But the purpose of a logo is not that. A logo has to be iconic, easy to remember, easy to read and most importantly tell the whole story in half a second. It took me 3-4 seconds to make out what it said.

Regarding how the design of a product salespage should look like, I recommend the case study on SeoMoz's salespage - http://www.conversion-rate-experts.com/seomoz-case-study/

Great work, thank you for sharing - always enjoy seeing other members creations.

The design is tailored for a very specific niche. May not attract all ranges of visitors but mos def showcasing your skills with this logo. Nice! & I also agree the second mockup is an improvement.

If you have the cash I would crowdsource you logo work to www.99designs.com?

That way you can get designers competing for you business and get up to 50 speculative logos to choose from...

Love 99designs, they are as useful as it gets for logo/graphic design...

Looks nice , But its abit too futuristic looking if you get me.

Both the original and the modified versions are good logos IMO: very direct and to the point. But if I were you, I'd keep the new colors (a bit less flashy) with the italics you used before because italics -al least to me- adds that certain something of "you're gonna make it FAST" or "it's gonna be a speedy process before you start profiting".

Or maybe too much hard stuff damaged my synapses permanently... Either way.. lol

Definitely the first one, add a few swooshes like it had just sped onto the page
like a noobie making fast cash and it's a seller.
The second looks too static, I'm not feeling any emotion from it. It's more like one of them
fireworks that didn't quite do what it said on the label.
Emotions are what make people buy.

Personally I like the first one, because of the Italics, even though most dont, but I like the way you did the A in the second one... with a little less fireworks, a little more cash... Its high on the shine factor, so I hope that whatever you are putting it on, will still draw attention to the content, because that is important.. Get them interested in the logo, and make them buy with the content....

Take it as you will.

Thanks,

Amanda

totally agree with this statement about drawing website visitors in with the quality of your logo design & keeping them involved through the quality of your content & value of your offer.

me, i prefer the 1st design but alongside everybody else, id say that youve improved the overall design by changing the letter A in the 2nd design and making the whole logo more visible/readable/intelligible.

summary: prefer style 1 but do to the letter 'A' what you did to it in style 2

btw, youre a damn fine designer. kudos to you...

Its awesome. :) the slanting one.
