X, formerly Twitter, is facing a major backlash from some of its most loyal users. Many accuse Product Chief Nikita Bier of damaging organic reach with an unpredictable algorithm that suppresses creators. Long-time accounts claim the platform now limits free expression, restricts links, and pushes users toward paid plans of up to $40 a month without delivering real visibility. Critics argue that the system favors low-value content while sidelining critical voices and weakening creators’ direct connection with their followers. Some veteran users now say it is easier to grow on Facebook or Instagram than on X.
