Anyone ever done something like this before? Posting Instagram style sexy photos of girls and having your porn site in the website profile section? Or would Instagram flag this and ban?

I think Instagram will ban you instantly. You should consider using Twitter that is more flexible in your niche.

The only thing which works is to post soft sexy photos without any advert and then post advert image. Account will be banned but you can get some traffic. But I don't think is worth doing just for porn site
 
Aren't there plenty of "babe" IG accounts that don't get banned, that he can use to build an audience?

What makes it so that those accounts wouldn't be banned, but OP's account would be? Can they really tell by your website link that you are a porn website? Especially if he specifies that everything that is actually uploaded onto IG is softcore. There are big tiddy babes revealing themselves all over IG, so I don't see why he couldn't pull this off.
 
Linking your website will get you banned, no questions asked.

Look at what other porn websites are doing on IG and learn from there.
 
If you are not doing multiple redirects based on browser user-agents then a simple link in the bio would get you banned instantly with FB's bots crawling every corner on the web.

While I don't know how effective it is but you can still spell out the domain name every time in description like Asa Akira does in some of her posts (Eg. https://www.instagram.com/p/B3xK0VIHxKa/ )

She promotes her ModelHub page with this super long but comprehensible domain name: thingsIwishIcouldInstagram.com

 
Yeah, this is possible! You just need to let it look like a model site :)
Even if you name it “Modelsplacexyz” there will be enough guys that’ll be interested in your website!

btw : you can use another social media platform that allows your links as a landing page (Twitter, etc.)

It's likely those accounts may get banned, but with proper boosts(like hashtags), follow back ratio is highest for adult niche. Get started with a few accounts and share your results here, if possible:)
