To get started with driving traffic to your site unless you have the budget for PPC, I'd start with social media, posting in relevant forums and commenting on blogs. Sure SEO can be good traffic, but it's taking longer to rank these days, and all of your efforts can be wiped out in an update. The best option for driving traffic will also depend on your niche and where your target audience hang out online.
