i have done but they removed. Any ideas if i will put there link & show always there.

If you are going to link to your own website on Wikipedia you need to be respected by Wikipedia. Which means that you need to provide quality articles

Links from wikipedia are nofollow. Don't waste your time unless your website is actually useful to the users on wiki. Otherwise it will be removed consitently until someone gets around to just banning your ip for self promotion.

look for wiki pages that have already been abused - it then shows they're not moderated well.

Create useful content and put a link inside, then you can control the page.

I think you can't use wikipedia links for SEO purposes, maybe only for traffic purposes (but only if your site is useful for people, otherwise wikipedia moderator will remove your link i think)

What will you need to do so the moderator of wiki to let you have the link? Even if its nofollow just for traffic purpose.
Do you have more chances if you have actually write the content of the page, or if your link is relevant with the content of the particular wiki page?

I'm trying to find this out too.
In the Wiki help page it says they no longer accept website references because they have so many dead links. So that is why most links added will be removed.

You CAN use wiki for SEO. Traffic is the most important, and that's what you can get from there.

I wrote a little how-to on BHW a few weeks ago about how I get Wiki links to stick.

Search for it...


Pretty much I just provide exactly what Wikipedia is looking for: A well sourced article that provides a good source for whatever section of the article I'm trying to cover.

Granted they are no-follow links, but Aunt G "knows" I have a link from Wikipedia and while no-follow might not pass link juice, it passes "respect" which I think is a factor in that ever elusive algorithm we all wish we had a copy of...
