One company has multiple services. Our GMB profile doesn't appear in search results on main keyword because the name of the company doesn't include that major keywords.
Rename is not an option. Because, as I said earlier, the company offers several services and we can't focus on one service.
All I want is to create a second GMB profile and include target keyword in the name of it. But is it even possible to do that in GMB? You'd have to specify the same site. I think there might be a problem here. Can you please advise me on how to do this?

Creating a second GMB profile with the same website can be tricky. Google generally doesn’t allow multiple listings for the same business at the same address unless they are truly separate entities (different categories, branding, phone numbers, etc.). Adding a keyword-rich name might help rankings, but if it’s seen as a duplicate or keyword-stuffed, it could get flagged or suspended. If you still want to go this route, using a unique physical address (like a co-working space or virtual office that allows signage) and a different phone number can help reduce risk. Just make sure the listing looks like a legit separate branch or brand. It’s doable, but definitely needs to be handled carefully to avoid violations.

First, understand that GMB profiles are designed to represent unique physical locations. If your company has multiple services but operates from a single location, you can create one primary GMB profile for that address. However, if you want to target different keywords and services, you have a few options:

Service-Based GMB Profiles: You can create additional GMB profiles for each service, but these should ideally represent different physical locations or departments within the same location. For example, if you have a plumbing and electrical service, you could create separate profiles for each, specifying different addresses or suites within the same building. This allows you to include relevant keywords in each profile's name.

Use Google Posts and Services Section: If changing the profile name isn't an option, utilize the 'Services' section and 'Google Posts' within your existing GMB profile to highlight different services. This way, you can include your target keywords and provide detailed information about each service without changing the profile name.

Create a GMB Profile Without a Physical Address: For service-area businesses, Google allows you to create a GMB profile without a physical address. This can be useful if you want to target specific keywords for services that don't require a physical location. However, keep in mind that these profiles won't show up in the local map pack, and you'll need to specify a service area.

Categories and Descriptions: Make sure to use all relevant categories and detailed descriptions in your GMB profile. This helps Google understand the full scope of your services and can improve your visibility for a broader range of keywords.

In summary, while it's possible to create multiple GMB profiles for a single company, you need to ensure each profile represents a unique location or service area. Utilize the available features within GMB, such as the "services" section and Google Posts, to maximize your visibility for different keywords and services.

Thank you for such a detailed response!

See, the situation is this: There is a main company / business called "... services". According to the documents, that is exactly what it is called. It combines many lines of business, including: staffing, real estate, investments, etc. I am going to deal with Staffing. And now I have encountered a problem that when you enter the search query “staffing agency +city” into Google, our company is not in the Google Maps results. And I understand why - there is no word about staffing in the name.

And now I want to create another profile in GMB, which would contain the necessary keyword and as a result - shown in Google Maps results (GMB profile). Then it will be much easier.
+ we already have those categories in our GMB profile:
  • Staffing Consultation
  • Staffing consultant
  • Staffing solutions
I understood what you wrote. But I didn't understand what I should do in this situation :) Maybe after reading this my more detailed explanation, you can give accurate advice. I will be very grateful!

Based on your scenario there may be benefits of "optimizing" your single GMB profile to be more in alignment with "staffing" vs creating a new one, which could run you afoul of Google since you only service out of one location. So continue to use the legal business name as the business name in your bank, with a clever switch in the additional details tab and set “Staffing” as an alias (AKA = “also Known as”) in your Google My Business dashboard settings to power up your keyword relevance factors without crossing the line with the official name.

At the same time, you want to further elaborate within your “Services” section with a very detailed staffing-focused description which incorporates such keywords as “staffing agency”, “temporary staffing” etc, top your core description about services up with staffing services and be sure to regularly post Google Posts related strictly to staffing topics, job openings and relevant industry news. By working together like this using your current staffing categories, it will make your profile more relevant for "staffing agency + [City]" searches than trying to create a separate profile all on your own.

Hope this helps,

These days, branding plays a big role in ranking GBP. Of course, reviews and proximity still matter a lot, but having a solid, recognizable brand can really help you stand out and show up higher in local search.
Also, adding a city keyword changed the way the algo work

Using the same site can raise red flags better to use a landing page or subdomain for the new profile.
Just keep it clean and don’t keyword stuff too hard, or you risk suspension down the line.

Instead of a second profile, add a dedicated “Product” in your current Google Business Profile named after the target keyword, link it to a matching service page on your site, and publish weekly Google Posts that feature that keyword. Ask clients to mention the service in their reviews.

Yes you can do , as l ong as you have a physical address

Always with physical address. Pay someone, a local store, anyone to get a physical address

Yeah, this is a tricky one and you’re right to be cautious. Google’s very sensitive about duplicate or keyword-stuffed GMB listings, especially since late 2023 updates. If you use the same site and try to sneak in a keyworded name, you might get it veified short-term, but there’s a high risk of suspension
