crawl stats shows the Google bot activity to the web pages
crawl stats are -
1. Pages crawled per day
2. Kilobytes downloaded per day
3. Time spent downloading a page (in milliseconds)
The most important in them is the 3rd one, if spikes are high then make your web pages so that Google bot take less time to download them. Optimize the website according to the Google rules.
