Ok, so I'm working right now, doing a ton of CL stuff as usual, and I just got this idea. I don't know if I'll ever put it to use, and even if I do, not many of you would, so I can share it.

    I'll keep it simple.

Brainstorm a name and type of business. Any business will do, but make sure it seems like a profitable business. A dry cleaner isn't a good choice, but something like a jewelry store would work.

Make up a fictional name for your new fake company, and register the .com domain for it.

Throw up a BS website that has a "pretty" main page, and just a simple contact page. Don't go overboard, this is just a front.

Now, what you do is find a friend, family member, etc. with a newer car that is nice. From experience, even shit like newer Accords or Altimas will do, of course a BMW or something might be even better.

Get a large white piece of poster board from Wal Mart or your local paper store, and in huge bold letters, write your domain name on it for your business.

Put the posterboard next to the car and take pictures of the car, making sure the poster board can be seen in each pic.

Now go create yourself some CL ads that go something like this

Subject: Bad Credit? How about a FREE car!

Body: Hey *the city name here*!

We all know the economy is in shambles right now, and it isn't just large banks and auto manufacturers feeling the blow.

With all of the poor folks that have been getting turned upside down and shaken for every penny in their pockets lately, whether it be a car loan they couldn't keep up with, or their house getting foreclosed on, we have decided to do something about it.

In an effort to put a smile back on the face of a debt ridden American, *your biz name here* has decided to hold a raffle!

If you have bad credit, really bad credit, or horrible credit, you have a shot at winning!

ONLY those of you with BAD credit have a shot, because in order to enter your name in the raffle, you MUST have BAD CREDIT!!

Finally, it's your turn to get something that isn't a bill!

    The prize?

This BEAUTIFUL 2008 Honda Accord EX!!

Please email us to apply for the contest, we are only allowing entries for the next 7 days!"

Ok, its shoddy, but I've been writing ads all day, so I'm a bit burned out.

Basically, when they email you, you are going to tell them that they have to grab a free credit report (through your affiliate link stupid!) and bring it by your business to enter the contest.

Of course, they won't come by the business until they have their report, and when they have their report and come by, your business won't be there.

You will get a flood of emails, and probably quite a few flagged ads as well, but this can bring in some serious cash at $20 per lead.

Don't ask questions, I'm too busy, and I'll probably never look in this thread again :p

Just thought I'd share an idea

Pretty good, you don't even need a family car. Just go to southbeach and find a lambo ;)

I wonder if any of the leads would convert for the advertiser or not?

    What do you guys think?

The idea behind this method is genius, however it would not work on CL. That ad would get flagged so quick. If your using a method that relies on you getting responses you need an ad that will stick for a while, to get responses. I can see this working in some ways but not very well on CL. The secret behind methods that require responses is to make the ad look like everyone elses, make it look legit. Get a free car for having bad credit is too good to be true and will stick out like a sore thumb. To be honest though I hope you give it a whirl and prove me wrong! Good luck my friend!

Maybe a dumb question.. can you get int trouble for this?

I don't care about the people, just getting in trouble for it not being real.

This is clever, but it is absolutely illegal in the U.S. You can not raffle off something that you don't own and don't intend to actually give away.

Do this at your own risk, because this isn't blackhat, its federal-prison-where-they-pound-you-in-the-ass-hat.

    :)

Yes. in the united states, only non profit organization or churches can hold raffles... Good idea though.

LMFAO you are so full of shit! I run a strip club and we raffle shit all the time.

The catch is you cannot charge for a raffle ticket.

Meaning if someone comes up with a bottle cap and used condom and says here im donating this I want a raffle ticket then bam. You have to give it to him.
One thing thought you might want to make sure the offer can take incentives
