CPV Lab Warning

here it is mate:
files[dot]fm/u/wmxxauhg

just unzip it and replace the login.php in your CPV lab root directory. Feel free to view the login.php file coz its decoded :)

let me know if it works :)

Holy cow, just logged in to thank you for this amazing trick! It actually worked.

I wonder for how long though. Every other file is still encrypted, is it possible that the whole tracker stops working if their servers go down completely? Or this solution pretty much nulls the cpvlab?

anyway, thanx again!!

FOR ALL BEYONDHOSTING CLIENTS:

Beyondhosting have just told me they developed a patch to solve this issue. If you use them to host your CPV Lab, open a Support ticket and ask them to install it.

I just did. I'll tell here if it works or not as soon as I receive their feedback.

Beyondhosting's patch works (like the one @bhas888 developed :))

However, as sadid before: all of this is very fishy. So I think the best next movement will be to change my tracking system. Today was the license server. Tomorrow can be the whole software, or whatever.

CPV Lab has proved it's not reliable at all.

Well,
I also got the shit email about cpvlab pro, while I lost access to my cpvlab since 3 days :/
But thanks to you and the login.php I'm able to access cpvlab now, thanks a lot @bhas888

CPV Lab Support Team guys only offer support if you pay them extra. Doesn't matter if support service was already in the license you paid. Or you pay again, or you don't get it.

After ignoring my messages asking for help due to the log-in issue (now solved by Beyondhosting in my case), I told them if they could assist me if I agree to pay those $30/month extra.

Then, they finally replied: Mo and Sam, from CPV Lab Support Team, created a kind of "new upgraded service", which is the same service we already paid for.

And be aware: if they couldn't fix this log-in issue by themselves (my host provider did it and @bhas888 dit it, not them), maybe you pay them 30 bucks and you don't get anything in exchange.

Definitely, all of this is very fishy. And the best solution is to move to another solution right away.

Finally, I got reply on my support ticket opened 3 days ago on thelabhelp website referring me to a new website

We are working on a license patch that will enable you to continue using your software regardless as to what happens with the CPVlab company. Once we have additional information regarding this patch or any other updates regarding CPVlab we will pass those on to you.

Will they give the license patch to non-beyondhosting user?

The login is working for me too again! I'm also using beyondhosting, maybe they use a similar solution bhas888 offered.

It's realy sad to hear that Robert is not reachable anymore. His service was always top notch in the past. He answered all my support emails within hours. I don't hope that something realy bad happened to him. I mean, it doesn't make sense to give up a software project with hundreds of existing paying customers.

If someone has info about whats going on with Robert please let me know.

Exactly. They worked hard on the software for the last 7 years and CPVLAB is still a perfect tracking software. Giving up is not an answer.

If someone has info about whats going on with Robert please let me know

Robert has health issues as told my Mo (support staff of CPVLAB). If it is really true, then he should sell the business to new owner to protect his baby (CPVLAB).

"Robert has health issues as told my Mo (support staff of CPVLAB). If it is really true, then he should sell the business to new owner to protect his baby (CPVLAB)."

Thats realy sad to hear! Imagine you have critical health issue and the programer team has nothing better todo than trying to take over your business :-(! Fuckers!

Now they say Robert just disappeared.

Out of curiosity, I opened a ticket in that other website the refer to. It's so called "Premium Support", though it's not premium at all: we already paid for customer suppoer when acquired CPV Lab license  .

In this "premium" support, they replied right away. Here you go their answer:

As Robert Matthews disappeared and no one knows where he is, I started to provide paid premium support service to CPV Lab users through my won helpdesk and my own website.

You can see service details and subscribe through this link:

As for login issue, I have already created a fix pack as a permanent fix for login issue for $30.

To get it applied to your CPV Lab install, you can send fix fees via paypal to [emailaddress]@gmail.com, send me payment reference number here and I will proceed with applying fix to your CPV Lab install.

So if we want to use the software we already paid, we have to pay a ransom or to the current/former/whatever CPV Lab official Customer Support, or to that copy&paste CPV Lab Pro.

Solutions just to reach the day of tomorrow:

1) If you have Beyondhosting ask them to install the patch.

2) If you don't have Beyondhosting, take a look to the patch @bhas888 left in the first page of this thread.

Real solutions

A patch will not solve all the mess behind this issue. We are being blackmailed by official CPV Lab and its copy, CPV Lab Pro. So to stay with them is highly risky.

I, personally, will move to another tracking solution before it's too late.

Scary to hear that a business man suddenly disappeared and nobody knows whats going on....

Chances are he hasn't disappeared and he is still dealing with health issues. But the developer who is trying to hijack his buisness has to say that to justify what he is doing.

CPV Lab was nice while it lasted, but anyone doing IM full-time should be switching to Voluum which is the best tracker out there.

Also as a temporary solution to get in replace your domain name with your domain's IP address to login.
