CPM is very high

The reason is mostly due to new accounts so CPM for campaigns are often higher

High CPM on new accounts is normal because the account has no history or trust yet. To stabilize and bring CPM down: Warm up the account with small, consistent spends first.

It’s actually quite difficult to lower CPM right from the start, because your campaign is still in the learning phase — distribution is harder to control at that stage, so some days can be cheap while others are expensive. That’s why it’s important to let the campaign learn. However, I’ve tested using image ads, and that can sometimes reduce CPM, since most advertisers are running video ads now. Using different content formats can turn out to be cheaper.

that's a classic new-account problem. high CPM is usually because the algorithm is still figuring you out. try starting with a conversion objective that's a bit higher up the funnel, like Add to Cart or View Content, and use a broad audience. it helps the system learn what a good customer looks like without trying to optimize for a super expensive purchase right away

When I run ads on a new account, the CPM is always very high, even though I have chosen a wide target and used good content/images. This makes the advertising cost too expensive. Does anyone know how to stabilize and reduce the CPM from the beginning?
you need to Use analytics tools to better understand your target audience. Make sure you are targeting people who are likely to be interested in your product or service. Create custom audiences based on user behavior or email lists to improve performance. Set a reasonable daily or overall budget to avoid overspending at the beginning. Experiment with different bidding strategies (manual vs. automated) to see which one reduces CPMs the best.

High CPM on new accounts is common since they have no history or trust. Warm up slowly, focus on engagement campaigns first, and let the account build data. Costs usually drop once Fb sees consistent, quality activity

For new accounts, high CPMs are normal because FB's AI hasn't learned your audience or advertising behavior yet. You can shorten this stage by using audiences or pixels.

Sometimes high CPM isn’t just about the account being new — it can also be due to auction pressure in your niche or seasonality. Testing different placements, running ads at varied times, and monitoring competitors’ activity can give you better insights. Focus on optimizing for relevance and user interaction early to help the system lower costs.

FB has been shaking violently recently, competition is being pushed very high. With the same campaign, some days the CPM is very low, other days it is unusually high.
